Went to LA last week. That was kinda fun. I get the feeling that if I were a bit more extroverted, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
I did not enjoy the freeways. Thankfully, I was on the 'right' side with less traffic every time, but still. Forget that noise. LA is not for me.
But the food was good. Went to an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue and apparently I don't know my food like I thought I did because they didn't have rice and I really expected that they would. They did have lots of meat, though, and each table had its own little grill thing and that was amazing. Nowhere else would I be quite so happy about getting completely raw food served to my table. Or be quite so thrilled with my brother's oddly insatiable hunger for bbq chicken. Because that was really good.
But as I was heading back, I had an idea. Lots of stuff is healthy there in California. So if I were to create a restaurant, it'd be full of things that are completely unhealthy. Things that no one would normally buy. Things that are deep-fried. Greasy. Cheesy. But since it's healthy stuff here, it'd have to be almost like an incognito shop, and I'd dress my employees in all black (well, blacker than the usual black, I guess) and they'd wear masks or eye shadow and it'd all be very hush-hush.
Which, of course, inspired a little story. So watch for that.
For another story I'm trying to write, I'm trying to make humanized versions of the ponies, and I wanted models I could create / pose myself. I figured I could find a simple character creator and get that done easily. Unfortunately, either my google-fu is not strong, or nothing like I want exists. I tracked down one someone used to make anime-esque doom enemies for some novelty mod... and it's actually an h-game. Definitely not what I wanted. So if you know of a good virtual paper doll software that's freehaha I wish cheap, and is not for lewds, I'm looking.
I'm also getting back into chess (because I'm tired of losing to my younger brother), so if you have a chess.com account, I'll play you.
Still writing. Still kicking. still melting in Arizona heat and I know summer's just started so yeah. All things considered, not bad at all.
From the future edit: the story is here. Only a few years later! Not bad at all
