Dental Nightmare:
I went into the dentist's office 4 days ago. Less than 2, i ended up in serious pain. One tooth in paticular.... an upper molar. No matter how much pain meds i took, i was still in agonizing pain. I'm still in pain, to be honest. Even the slightest bump hurts to it; i've officially stopped eating, because it's so bad. I can't see the dentist until saturday.... how will i ever cope!? Hell, it even interupts my sleep. Its bad enough to ruin my good mood.... Yet i don't know why it hurts so bad.
Any suggestions for pain relief? Please?
My second upper right molar has a hole in it.
It has since I was 16.
It used to hurt something horrendous, but because I was above the age to get free dental treatment, I had to deal with it. Now I don't know if the pain has actually stopped, or if I've simply gotten used to it, and even though I'm eligible for free dental now, as my Grandmother's full-time carer, the dental hospital I need to go through for it has been dicking around with getting me the documents I need to get it seen to for four years.
Now I have my two bottom wisdom teeth half-way through, top left fully though and the top right is almost through, but since it started the tooth with the hole has been bleeding every once in a while.
I don't have any suggestions for the pain though. I used to just grit my teeth and bare with it.
As for eating, I recommend porridge, yoghurt, plain bread, and other such things you can eat by either swallowing straight or simply squashing with you tongue.
I had gotten all my molars removed for a surgery I’ll have in some months. Half of them weren’t even really out yet and had to be literally cut out of the gums.
I recommend ibuprofen 600 and ice packs. Cooling it should help along, that includes ice cream.
-hug- I hope it helps any
I'm sorry but don't have any knowledgeable for the pain but for eating go with Riku's idea
beyond Medication I have no idea what to tell you
