Likes or dislikes?

Okay, this is just something that came to my mind after seeing the meter of thumbs up/down on every story.

I know that this probably isn't a big deal, but I just want to ask you if a favourite means anything to the story, I mean, let's put the example on "You got what you deserved", there's a lot of people that liked the story, and a lot of people added it to their favourites, but they also forget to like the story.

I mean, does a favourite mean anything to you? Because for me, it really does, but the dislike are up there too, a lot of people liked "I care about you", but the dislike meter is up there too, I can guess that it's because of the grammar errors and the orthography, but also "The necklace" is pretty hated, I think I've improved a lot in my writing, specially in "You got what you deserved", but it's something that bugs me a little bit.

I just want to hear your opinions in the comments, but I think that no one will read this, so, screw life!
