Why is it that I get emotionally attached to things so easily? · 7:24am Mar 13th, 2018
Why does it always feel like I'm losing a part of myself even when I'm losing something as simple as a flash drive?
I have no idea. It could be that the aforementioned flash drive contains two quarters worth of work from two classes before it was stolen, or it has the exact same weird emotional attachment as that one time when I lost a mechanical pencil I had managed to not lose for two years.
Or maybe both. Or maybe I'm just far too naive. I have no idea, but I have a feeling that becoming emotionally attached to every little thing might be saying something about my mentality.
Or maybe it's just 1:24 am and I can't sleep because I'm brooding over the fact that somebody stole my flash drive.
I get attached to things, too. I was rather upset when I lost my toy school bus, way back when...
i only have one thing to sat to this.
you need better drugs.
I do that to, except I get angry at things...

Well, I can say now that a good night's rest certainly helped me feel better.
It is because that drive is something you count for, something that is using a tool that at this time is becoming as necessary as your hands or your eyelash. Well, not that necessary, but close enough...
It means you are human, a social begin trained from birth to death to have emotional responses to things that happen around and/or to you, not necessarily a bad thing, sometimes annoying, sometimes a blessing from heaven... more annoying than bless if you ask me
Have you tried meditation? or a more logical mental approach to things? it helps a lot to keep emotions in place or at least halt them from taking control over your mind
