Mykan's reason for 'punishing' characters he hates · 2:51am Mar 4th, 2018
We can all say that Mykan has issues with his sanity, mainly the fact he loves to torture cartoon characters, such as Kari from Digimon and Cadence. This is a sign of Psychotic acting and shows that he had mental issues.
But yet it is his ‘punishing’ of characters that we might see that there is some sanity in Mykan and that in fact he is not the evil person many of his ‘haters’ think.
What if somewhere, what is left of his sanity is having him do his ‘punishments’ to keep him from acting them out on Real People?
What is scary is that he could go after a person in Real life and kill them. He could do that and his ‘punishing’ of Fictional characters is a way to keep him from going out and becoming the next Unibomber or the next School Shooter.
The problem is he thinks that everyone but him is objectively wrong and horrible, even those who are nice to him. In his eyes, if you hate his work, you're horrendously evil.
He thinks you can simply generalize Good and Evil like a math equation. failing to realize that by that logic, his logic, everyone else has the right to see him as an objectively terrible person. As his heinous attitude and behavior basically gives us reason to see him as nothing BUT that.
I don't really see how this is a good thing.
Sure, it is the "lesser" evil to go after the fictional characters rather than people in real life.
But you have to ask yourself, for how long is this going to work?
You yourself admit, that Mykan is a very disturbed individual and that for a lack of a better word, he needs help. Professional help to be more precise.
He can say all he wants about not wanting help and being happier in his misery as it is, I call bullshit on it. Mykan is miserable and he wants to be happy. And as he says, bringing "misery" to others now seems to be what makes him feel good. May it be the characters he hate or as he had shown in his latest gloating, the fans of characters he doesn't like.
Mykan doesn't necessarily need to be a "better" person, but he needs to find something that actually makes him happy aside of making others miserable and making himself angry by watching shitty cartoons and not getting over the things he considers bad about them over and over. A real hobby so to speak that may distrct him from the things he hates.
Cause while what he si doing currently is a way to vent it is not a healthy one. And if for some reason he would lose the ability to vent his frustration (like say a limited access to the internet or getting accounts banned for good) I get the feeling all the stuff he is packing and putting on himself is going to unleash in a really ugly way. Not necessarily in the way that he ends up killing someone, but if he already hears fictional characters talk to himself, I get the feeling he will give into his delusions so much that on behalf of someone other than his parents, he ends up being forced to take some mentla health medicine or something.

Sadly that's not gonna happen, not only has he made it clear that he has no intent on getting any sort of help, but he's also deluded himself into thinking that improving oneself is a hinderance and that everyone besides him is wrong and it's the world that needs to change for him.
He's basically a manchild that is firmly set in the "my way or the highway" mentality. In his little world he's the only one allowed to be right, and anything that class is with his reality is evil, vile, and deserves the utmost scorn with absolutely no room for acceptance.
Every time he starts up another blog to complain about why life is unfair to only him it might as well be accompanied by an obituary for his common sense.

I will say this: yes, it's healthy to have a way to vent. I tend to do it in private all the time, but over things that legitimately tick me off. However, I don't take it out on innocent cartoon characters. I'll happily give them a "What the Hell, Hero?!" speech in response to their actions, but I won't outright hurt them.
If Mykan wants to vent, that's fine. But the fact that he's doing it on the internet only draws more fuel to the fire every waking minute of his life. And he feels as though if he stops posting, he'll die. Or...something.

He seems to have deluded himself into thinking that MLP only teaches only one way of dealing with life's problems (proving that his mentality towards the show doesn't extend past season 1), even though it established that our heroes have many different ways of dealing with the obstacles presented to them.
Also the Insanity part seems to be holding more weight since he's convinced himself that he loses sleep at night just because the series exists. Which is pathetic at best and really brings up the question as to what right he has to claim that everyone who likes it is brainwashed....

In his "Yugioh: Opperation Duel: Final Season", all the characters in the flanderized versions of the Conversion Bureau, and then claims that Brainwashing is wrong despite the fact that his own Starfleet characters did it to Ace Ray. Then uses some science mumbo-jumbo to pretend that their actions are sending the moon hurtling towards the Earth, completely forgetting that Celestia has more than enough power to raise both the sun and moon on her own and therefore should have been able to fix that.
Then he claims that in "Starfleet Season 1" Elements of Harmony wouldn't have worked on the villains they were facing because they were genuinely evil, completely ignoring the fact that Discord, who was also genuinely evil at the time got Turned to Stone, and Tirek was defeated by the rainbow powers which in turn are an extension of the elements of harmony and was sent to Tartarus as a result. Therefore his logic doesn't hold up since one of the two should have happened to these villains as well.
In "Starfleet Season 2" she claims that using his own flanderized versions of the characters justifies them not passing a gun course, and them not knowing they were fighting a puppet version of Queen Chrysalis is their own fault for not scanning, despite the fact that his own characters couldn't tell what a robot is.
He believes that Count Logan is 100% justified in murdering countless individuals and decapitating an infant just because he didn't get a girlfriend, even his diluted eyes the Teen Titans regularly abused him even though that's not the case.
He's so pathetically insecure about his own OCS or black hole Gary stues that he needs to completely water down other actual villains just to make his own characters look good.

If she's powerful enough to raise and lower both the sun and moon for a thousand years then by that extent she should be able to sense when something is out of balance concerning the two. The only way she wouldn't have noticed something that major is if someone removed her brain and replaced it with a complete flanderization of her. Once again, making everybody else completely unintelligent to save his precious snowflake characters from being outshined.
First of all, none of the villains were wimpy as he put it, and no, this being his opinion does not make it suddenly ok.
Nightmare Moon have the power to influence others dreams as well as make the night last forever, not to mention the fact that you could turn into smoke, fire powerful beams of Destruction, and create illusions that can manipulate others.
Discord can warp reality with a literal snap of his fingers. Not to mention the fact that he managed to split up the group and almost did win.
Chrysalis is a manipulative shapeshifter with an army under command. Not only that but she's a strategist and was smart enough to have several of her drones intercept the heroes on their way to get the Elements of Harmony pissed she knew that they could be used against her. Not to mention she was strong enough to defeat Celestia by absorbing all of the love and Adoration of the citizens of Canterlot.
Sombra is a king who uses dark magic, can turn into smoke, controls crystals that nullify Magic.
Tirek is literally a demon from Tartarus who can absorb other’s Magic and grow stronger every time he does.
So no, none of the villains they face were wimpy in the slightest, each have their own unique threat and had to be defeated in a certain way.
Discrediting a characters Threat Level only shows how shallow and narrow-minded he is. Especially when he has to completely water down other actual villains just to make his own characters look good.
Pathetic.
It doesn't matter how unique he makes them, the only way they wouldn't work on them at all as if you basically removed any power they had to begin with. Which is what he did. It's never established in Universe if there's any type of limitation on any of the element when it comes to purification or banishing evil, saying that they're just too evil to be defeated is a basic cop out that he wanted to use to make his characters look good.
If you have to remove any sort of power others have in order to make your character seem better than them, then you're basically taking the easy lazy way out.
Even if there are other reasons, that doesn't excuse his actions. Nor does it make his actions understandable. There are several different ways he could have handled his grief and he chose to become a villain of the highest caliber, he's not justified in his actions nor is he understandable. He's just a cruel tyrant.
Once again, he falls victim to his own hypocrisy, not bothering to check his own blind spots and get accusing everyone else of having them.
And he wonders why everyone calls him a man-child.

-they've included him on pretty much every single mission they ever been on in the series.

Reading through the rest, it's clear that it's nothing more than a little whining tantrum and made up aspects that Cherry Pick the bad parts of his relationship with the Titans and completely ignore anything good in his life. Ignoring the fact that on several occasions they do congratulate him when he does the right thing or helps complete a mission, especially when he managed to sabotage the Brotherhood of evil black hole generator or the scenario before that where he saved both them and the Doom Patrol. Come to think of it, never once does he ever make the Doom Patrol (or at least their boss) the ones who are assholes to him...
Not to mention he made basically made everyone and his friends out of character just to justify Beast Boys actions in the story. Worst part about it all is that he pretends that the book possessing him is supposed to make him sympathetic. When really the entirety of the bio and his statements make it clear that we're supposed to think Beast Boy is justified in his actions whether he be a slave to the book or not. Not to mention the fact that he depowers other magically talented characters so that they can help him, such as Raven, Zatana, Dr. Fate, and many other characters who could have helped rid him of The Possession.
At least when heroes are possessed bears a situation where they're showing fighting The Possession from the inside, at the very least giving us a reason to sympathize with them because they're not in full control of their actions. But even here he makes it clear that we're supposed to think he's justified in his actions and it gets to the point where it seems like even if the book hadn't possessed him he'd still go through with such evil actions. I'd be willing to give him a little more leeway if the story presented itself in a way that made it clear that Beast Boy was mad but never to this extent and that the book was simply taking the worst experiences he's had and blowing them out of proportion in order to possessing more thoroughly, however that would require intelligence and let's be honest, Mykan isn't big on that.
Made it even worse by the fact that he never displays gratitude toward the Doom Patrol or the other Titans for taking him in, he only acknowledges all of the bad aspects of their time together and not a single good one even though the good times outweigh the bad, making him come off as the ungrateful one. And worse, Mykan tries to justify the destruction of Starfire's home planet by claiming it was revenge for her relationship with Robin, making it seem like Beast Boy basically obliterated in the entire planet with millions of inhabitants that were completely innocent over a petty grudge.
To quote linkara from Atop The Fourth Wall: "There's a difference between having a sympathetic backstory and actually BEING sympathetic."
He can say that he's not trying to justify them but make them understandable all he wants, it's just another distinction without a difference. At this point he's pretty much stopped covering his blind spots and simply started throwing a temper tantrum because he can't accept that he's wrong.
