The Wilds

So, I've been thinking about one of my deleted stories, called Overgrown. Long story, but I'm revamping it into a much better concept. I call it...

Into the Wild. Here's the gist. It's like a cross of The Last of Us, LOZ-Breath of the Wild, and Crysis. The main character, Vance, wakes up in a bunker deep below a ruined Chicago. He finds out, eventually, that it had been nearly 50 years since nearly all of humanity, and only humanity, died from a combo of nuclear war, a plant-borne virus, or natural disaster, and there are only around fifty thousand humans left, scattered around the globe. Mutant and uninfected animals rule the Earth, and Vance is the only human left in Chicago.

That was years ago. Now twenty-two, with a stray Collie named Rush at his side, Vance decides to return to the bunker he awoke in to scavenge for more supplies.

He and his dog end up being teleported to Equestria through an ancient portal. Now in a world straight out of a old kids cartoon, will Vance learn to survive not just Equestria, but civilization itself?

Time will tell.
