    Mortal Kombat 1: thoughts

Once again it's time to opine in relative obscurity, but it can't be helped. For a new Mortal Kombat game is upon us - to be the first since Mortal Kombat 11, which was released in 2019. Beyond the enjoyment that a new installment is sure to bring, there is an even more compelling reason to blog, and that is the premise of the story.

The other side of the coin

And now with the recent delivery of the non-equine representation of the Night Princess, we turn to a question that may occur to any with a contemplative inclination: what, if anything, is implied by the purchase of what some would consider a doll? Let us consider beyond any numismatic value, so to speak. Dolls, in the general understanding, are not typically sold with the intention of providing

Karaoke and Cannibals · 4:31am Feb 18th, 2018

I was going to sing karaoke tonight, but I got too drunk. Darn dang it!

In other news, unless I misheard, it appears that Twilight enjoys "Canterlot Cannibal", a series in the Restricted Section of the Canterlot Library. And who can blame her? Any pony would be interested in learning of the history of her capitol city.

I'm deadly curious as to what you intended to sing, the dobermans. :twistnerd:

I have not heard of this story, but you have my interest if Twilight wants to read it specifically. :pinkiehappy:

The song was to be "Unforgettable". It was completely the wrong venue, and I was (still am) far too drunk :derpytongue2:

As for Twilight, she revealed her darker leanings in the Equestria Girls video that was released today, "Forgotten Friendship". It's canon, unless my ears were deceiving me.

Irving Gordon? I wonder how it was an inappropriate venue.

I didn't see that video. Speaking of watching, I need to catch up on the latest season... :fluttershyouch:

Irving Gordon?

Yes indeed. The song has some nuances. First, it has a modal flavor, as it starts on the fifth, ends on the fourth, and mostly avoids the root note throughout. There's also syncopation and triplets in key places that obscure what otherwise would be standard 4/4. All of this gives it an airy feel, which is likely what Mr. Gordon was going for. Great song.

As for the ambience, I discovered that the crowd had a strong country vibe, and was running on an upbeat energy rather than contemplative. Unforgettable would have gone against the grain.

Understood. Yeah, that definitely wouldn’t jive. Of course, I’m personally prone to sing whatever I please at such gatherings, although it would be hard for me to in that circumstance, being a Kris and Cash fan myself.
