A gift to my Ponera readers

    Howdy, folks!

First of all, a big thanks to everyone who has been reading Codex Ponera - Cliffside Eyrie. The sudden upswing in readers two weeks ago proved to be the impetus I needed to get back into writing again - I was running down my prewritten buffer, but now I'm building it back up again.

    What is a fury, anyway?

If you’ve been reading my Codex Ponera stories, but are unfamiliar with the Codex Alera series that I’ve fused MLP with, then you’ve probably got a few questions. Questions like, “Pepperbrony, what the hell are all these furies you’ve been banging on about?” or “Hey, Pepperbrony, you’ve got this character who can do these weird and wacky things with their fury, why can’t that other character do

Hello readers

You may have noticed that Codex Ponera - Cliffside Eyrie is now marked complete.

Huzzah!

That’s the good news.

The bad news is that the next story will be delayed a bit.

I have submitted Cliffside Eyrie to Equestria Daily, and they got back to me a couple of days ago. Their reply can be summed up thus: “We like the story you’re telling, but you could tell it better.” They gave me a few points that I need to work on, and so for the next few weeks I’ll be going back over the story, tweaking it a little. The story overall shouldn’t be changing too much, other than one specific point in the prologue that I (poorly) carried over from “Furies of Calderon.” Any major changes will be noted in Author’s Notes of the relevant chapter, possibly along with a link to the original writing.

Once I’m satisfied with Cliffside, I’ll resubmit to EqD, and I’ll finally start posting “Codex Ponera - Equinopolis.” So far, I have the prologue, three chapters, and an interlude (relevant blog post here) written. I’ve run into a slight case of writer’s block for how to continue story from where it’s up to, but it’s more of a stumbling block than the beginnings of a wall. I should be able to get past it… relatively easily.

I hope.

Eh, it’ll be fine.

Best of luck getting onto EqD.
