Hello Everypony, ScarFox9700 here,
I just wanted to take the time to let all of you know that once "Beyond the Express" is complete, and I'm putting the storyboard together for the final Sequel to the Battleship Express Story line, I'm going to be writing another similar story!
Yes, you heard that right, ANOTHER Battleship Express story, or rather, "A DIFFERENT Express"! This story will be somewhat similar to "Battleship Express", but yet at the same time, it will be a spinoff, based on an on-going role play between myself, and user Dusk Star Shine.
The story will take place in an alternate universe. In this timeline, all of the World Wars still happened, but yet at the same time, (With the exception of WW6 against the Futas) they were not nearly as bad as in the original timeline. Also in this universe, the Battleship Express is pulled by Big Boy 4014, instead of 4009, and it's supply train is pulled by UP 844!
On the Equestrian end of things, the Zebras are strong Allies of Equestria, and the Caribou are an independent nation. The Zebra Nation is ruled over by the benevolent King Fredrick XII. However, one day, one of his military officers, General Zakia, is sick and tired of his king, and after gathering followers, rebelled against him, and started their own nation, the Zebra Empire, before declaring himself Overlord of said empire. Zakia also invaded Equestria, before both Equestria, and the Zebra Nation, declared war on him.
The war should have been over quickly, however, King Dactyl of the Caribou Nation, got overthrown by his brother, Danin. Now, the Caribou Empire went rouge, and came to the side of the Zebra Empire. Now, Equestria, the Zebra Nation, the Caribou Remnant, and even the Changeling Kingdom, ruled over by King Metamorphosis, are in grave danger of falling to these rouge nations.
However, all is not lost. From Earth, the Battleship Express, UP 844, and Battalion 4014, arrive, and after being attacked by the Rouge Alliance, join the allied coalition against them.
It will be an interesting story that will end up being VERY different from "Battleship Express". There won't be any hostages this time. Also, Captain Leopard will fall in love with the beautiful Captain Gleaming Shield, Captain of Equestrian Battalion 4013, and the older sister to Dusk Shine, the Prince of Friendship. (In the story, only Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle, Princess Cadence, and Queen Chrysalis, are R63'd. They become Gleaming Shield, Dusk Shine, Prince Bolero, and King Metamorphosis respectively. All other Ponies are their original gender.)
There will be a number of twists throughout the story, and I think that it will be longer than Battleship Express was. It's still a while away from coming, but I'll let you all know as soon as it does!

Well I hope once we finish the RP it can be made into a well written fanfic then Scar, I bet any fan's of your other two Battleship Express stories will like the RP Story too, I can't wait to see how people will react to it.

Well, like I've said Dusk, Chapters 1-3 are written, and 4 is in the works. Once 4 is complete though, I'll pause it there until "Beyond the Express" is complete, and THEN I'll post it! Let's just hope that it'll go about as well as "Battleship Express" Did. However, it DOES take a different direction that the original did. There were no herds, or ponies becoming Alicorns, or ANY gay sex! It'll be such a CHANGE from it's namesake, that I REALLY hope that Ponies can handle it!

Well, we won't know until I post it, and I won't do that until "Beyond the Express" is complete. I don't know how many more chapters that will be, but it will be some. I haven't even added the big twist to the story yet either!
I like the idea but what if it wasn't another Big boy? Like what about the Madame Queen Of Texas. Santa Fe 5000 2-10-4 with a pulling power or nearly 95,600 tractive effort.

and that IS a nice idea, but yet, this story is (at least the first part of it) is "Battleship Express", but yet in a different timeline. Plus, Big Boys are my FAVORITE steam engines of them all! And I know that this is still up for debate, but Big Boys are the biggest, best, and strongest steam locomotives of all time, so that's why I put them into my stories.
Plus, Aside from "Battleship Express", "Beyond the Express", "Rails of Destruction", and "Smokestack Lightning", there are no other stories on FIMFiction about Big Boy locomotives, so I'm just showing them the love that they deserve!

No one has written about 5000 from what i've seen. Plus it allows a big hauler without being too close to the point of turning people away. Plus. If all preserved locomotives of America served in the RWD then Madame Queen would be there. If not as the main engine surely she could be in place of 844 or if its another time line you could just as easily have more than one battle engine. Better YET! she could be a prototype made by the equestrians to provide a locomotive to reinforce the Big Boy.

You know, actually that's a pretty good idea! I mean, I've stated before that the Battleship Express IS the Flagship train of the RWD, with Iron Glory as it's supply train, and UP 844 as it's troop transport train in this timeline. However, there's always a number 2 train, right? Well, 5000 could fill that role!
I'll work it into theis story a little bit later, but it WILL be there. Thanks for the idea Sanguine Blade!

You're welcome. And yes, I was being serious, although it won't be until the sequel to "Beyond the Express", which is all about the war between the Humans and the Equestrians, against the Futas, and the remnants of the Zebras and Caribou. It'll still be a while longer, but don't worry, it WILL happen at some point!
