    Another Rising Flames Progress Update

It'll probably be another two weeks before chapter four is ready, give or take. It's needed far more editing than any chapter so far, and also more than any chapter to follow, most likely. Actually, this single chapter has probably undergone more revisions than any other piece of fiction I've ever worked on. I went overboard on the original version due to my desire for drama, which led to drama

    Rising Flames Progress Update

Just letting everybody know, it's going to be a bit longer before Chapter Three drops. In addition to refining our editing process to be more collaborative (I was letting my mindset from my game development work bleed into here, when my priorities with Rising Flames are very different), Spell Check and applezombi pointed out a bunch of issues with my outline that I've been diligently

My new company: Thought Prism Games!

I’ve got an exciting announcement today! Some of you might have been wondering what I’ve been up to outside the fanfic front, and now I’m ready to share at last. Welp, I tried. · 7:13pm Jan 30th, 2018

So, I was going to keep it a surprise on the off chance I was actually selected as a finalist, but I entered the third Great Designer Search, a contest where the prize for winning was getting to intern for Wizards of the Coast designing Magic cards. Alas, it was not to be, as I apparently didn't score high enough on the multiple choice test. This also means that they will never actually read my essay questions, which I put a lot of thought into and would have been weighted three times more heavily than the multiple choice test had I passed it :ajbemused:. If anybody wants to read those and provide reassurance that I totally would have made an awesome designer, let me know. In the meantime, I'll be sitting in the corner lamenting my fate.

The cutoff was 73 correct answers out of 75. 97% of the people who took the test didn't make it, myself included. And personally, I'd love to see your mini-essays.

I'll post them later then, once I find out exactly how many questions I got right next week. The range of difficulty for the questions was quite large.

I look forward to it, and to posting my own.
