    I'm the worst :D

    I know! Terrible.

Just popping in for my periodic State of the Dancer, you know how I do.

Previously, I was lamenting my lack of free time due to the whole working full time and having my smol child. I decided to add to that by rebooting the soap business.

    Oh hey

Wow, been a hot minute, eh?

I've missed this site. Last year, I went through Some Shit over the summer and fall, and then I got engaged in November to a very nice man.

We get married in five days, and I had noticed a lot of registry gifts coming in all of a sudden with real names attached that I did not recognize.

In other news, these stories i have are killing me

i love them, but i'm having such a hard time getting them out. i dunno, some are harder to write than others, i guess, for personal reasons. maybe i'm not as open as i used to be.

Take your time, and maybe try to get a prereader or two to help you achieve the voice that you really want. And your avatar is adorable!

I've been getting like that too. I have story ideas in my head that I'm somewhat reticent to work on and publish because

...yeah, they feel very personal and I'm afraid of that, I guess.

It's not the voice, it's telling the story--some stuff feels really personal, and the story i'm stuck on is religious. That's the issue I think

I don't have experience writing overtly religious themes, but whenever I'm working with something difficult, I just try to focus on getting in the place where I feel like I can write it.
