Persona 6: REM - Progress so far · 2:44am Jan 18th, 2018
So, because I want everyone to know that I am dead serious with this, I'm giving everyone of my readers an update on where I am in terms of development.
Today I finished the projected view of all of the main character's Social Links/Confidants, and matched everyone with one of the 21 major Arcana minus The World. You won't see everyone in this story, but you'll see most of the characters I frequently use.
I have the about 30 percent of the full calendar finished, including knowing what day the story begins and when it ends, Mid Terms, a few holidays, and at least four chapters worth of progress. It'll be when I have the full calendar finished that I'll be ready to write the story.
The full party has been decided. In no particular order, the party members and their respective Arcana in no particular order are the following:
Starlight Glimmer: The Fool
Trixie Lulamoon: The Magician
Rainbow Dash: The Chariot
Fluttershy: The Empress
Pinkie Pie: The Lovers
Twilight: High Priestess
Applejack: Justice
Rarity: The Star
I'm also piecing together the soundtrack for the story. My goal is to have very few quiet moments, but the music is entirely optional, only meant to enhance the reader's experience. Please keep that in mind. Some of the songs are one's I've used before, but I put a lot of thought in using these songs. As such, I'll just get this out of the way, preview of the Boss Theme below. Yes you know the song, but it matches the tone perfectly.
Boss Theme:
I know the mechanics of the Dream World more or less, and I know how Personas will be awakened. The motif I'm going to go with is setting oneself on fire essentially, to reference burning away what is impure while also being a subtle reference to a witch being burned at the stake. Similar to how Persona 3 used Evokers shaped like guns to reference suicide and death.
Finally, in terms of music, I have the opening. Sort of. See, I have the song, but the one minute edit I want to use is being used for an Undertale fan animation. I want to play it here, but the animation is REALLY good, and I'm afraid it'll overshadow the song. Ah well, Imma do it anyway. I'll post the lyrics below it.

Aaaaaaannnd that's all I've got so far. I'm not revealing anything about the plot just yet beyond that it's motif is "dreams" and "overcoming the darkness of the world", and that a running theme will be showing another side of all of the characters present. Also, the characters themselves will be seen almost like witches due to the nature of their powers. Once I hit another milestone, I'll update you all on the progress. Till then, see ya guys!

Is one of the personas gonna be Deadpool? Sorry, couldn't resist, I've just reminded of a common fan demand of another Persona crossover that one of the summons be him, which the author irritated replied that no Deadpool in his fic. I haven't played any Persona, but I'm not concerned about needing to understand much, as no such thing happened with the other fic, and an author of your pedigree on top of that, no way I'm missing this one
