Ahhh, another christmas, another year, and I am still here. Why? Well, as I pointed out before, you will never truely be rid of me. Not by a long shot.

If there are a few lessons I hope you took from my blogs and my persona, it’s that you never truely leave behind the stuff you love. Oh sure, you can say things like “I think MLP went downhill since season 2”, “It should’ve stopped with season 4” and all of that. You can leave for a while, but here is the honest truth about what is going to happen one day.

After a few years of doing anything else, you will get up, and find some old episodes. You are going to watch them and then remember all of the love and excitement you had with them. Then, you are not going to say “Eh, the show went downhill with season _________” you are going to say, “Hey, that episode of season 6 was pretty awesome. I may not of liked the season as a whole, but that eppie.” Then you will watch it with your hearts content.

I should know, because I skip so many things when I’m rewatching my stuff. Season 3 of Gargoyles? Doesn’t even cross my mind. The last season of KND? Well, I don’t know about the quality, mainy because I am too busy crying at the end of interviews.

Hell, when it’s time for me to enjoy some DBZ I skip the buu saga with exception of the SSJ3 Goku scene. For me, it’s not the seasons, but the quality of the memories and the fun I have. And that is what is going to drive me forward from now until this site becomes a general fanfiction site or two sites in one (G1-5 pony and a general fanfic site).

As for the new generation? As I’ve said, can’t wait for it. It’s like waiting for the new bots, sentai, or Rider. What ideas will they hit, what will they do. Sure, it might not be as good as FIM, but I look at it this way...Zyuranger was not as good as Jetman, but later on we got Timeranger. Lost Galaxy wasn’t as epic as in Space but we soon got Time Ranger. I’ll give it time and see what happens.

And if not, then there is G6, G7, and then G8. Hell, G1 was pretty decent and those fans had to wait 20+ years before the quality got back to normal. Beast Wars was the pinicacle of Bots and it took them until Animated to even match up again.

I even have a joke about it being the future and the current pony is “Friendship is magic: the return.”

So yeah, never really worry about these things. Like one of my favorite anime openings says...

“We meet again and again.”
