Though not as much of a tear jerker as "Coco," it is still very enjoyable to watch, especially after the utter mess that is "Ice Age 5." Now, many would think having John Cena as the title character would be something of a cash grab. Truth be told, it's the same story with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Bruce Lee, Jean Claude van Damme, and Dwayne Johnson. Cena's situation is no different, and I personally like his performance. True there are some things out of place in the story, but that's always a problem with adapting stories to a modern audience.
The animation is very fluid compared to Blue Sky's works as well. And the other characters are actually very enjoyable, from a charismatic "calming goat," a mute frankenbull, an Irish bull voiced none other than The Doctor, to a trio of pompous Lusitania warmbloods.
It's not the best-animated film in the world, but it's a long shot compared to what brewed over the summer. If you haven't seen it yet, I give it a go.
