Season 9 Theory: Is Grogar Discord's Father?

Hey everyone, after watching the season 9 premiere and being introduced to Grogar, an interesting theory emerged. Is Grogar Discord's father? Let me explain my reasoning. In the show, Grogar was once the Emperor of Equestria, long ago when it was just a few pastures and farmlands. Not only that, but he is known as the Father of Monsters, and is said to have given life to the foulest of creatures,

    Season 9--Final Fluttercord.

Kurusagi here, with the supposed final season coming up, I've been hoping for at least one more fluttercord episode, with cute fluttercord moments spread throughout the rest of the season. That said, I hope you will indulge me as I share some ideas I want to see in S09.

    Episode Theory--Fluttercord Pattern?

Hey everyone! With s08 coming up, I've been thinking about future fluttercord episode, and in looking back on previous ones, I think I've discovered a pattern! In the odd numbered seasons, there is a fluttercord episode (i.e. Keep calm and flutter on, Make new friends but keep discord, and Discordant harmony). While in the even numbered seasons, we get some fluttercord scenes/moments in the

The End of a Series--Gets a little ranty.

Hey there reader, after learning about rumors of an mlp reboot after s09, it got me thinking about series finales and reboots in general.

The End of a Series--Gets a little ranty. · 11:37pm Dec 16th, 2017

Hey there reader, after learning about rumors of an mlp reboot after s09, it got me thinking about series finales and reboots in general.

All good things come to an end, it's a fact of life that rings even more ture with each new season of this show. On the one hand you're gad they're finally going to end it, but on the other hand you're kinda sad to see it end.
For example, I've been a fan of Monster High and Ever After High for years, and I was sad when I found out that they were cancelling it. Like MLP, it gave me inspiration and connected with me. Then came the dreaded reboot.

Nowadays, reboots are everywhere, and not all of them are...good. But what makes a good reboot? Well, I think a good reboot is something that pays homage to the original source material, while also bringing in a new generation of fans to enjoy it. MLP managed to do this well enough, connecting to its previous G1 incarnation. But with every MLP, there's gonna be a Powerpuff Girls 2016. Oh yeah. I went there. You can tell when a series is so bad that it's only referred to by its year date rather than its actual title, i.e. Sonic 06.
Now, even if a reboot does occur, there is also the issue of how long should it be before a reboot happens?
Again, personally I think a person should wait a good 10-20 years before doing a reboot, to give the audience time to adjust to their series ending and add a space of time before starting it back up. Sailor Moon Crystal, a reboot that follows more closely to the manga, was released to commemorate the 25 anniversary of the original Sailor Moon. That said, it bugs me when companies release reboots almost immediately after their previous series has ended. As mentioned before, I liked Monster High. But then there came a reboot, and I was willing to give it a chance, only to end up hating it and the fact that my favorite version had been canceled and replaced with this cheaper incarnation. Now I know how people growing up in the 80s and 90s felt.

It's still unclear as to what will happen in MLP's future, but all I can say is, Hasbro, you better not mess this up like Mattel.
