Time for another rant!

Hey kids! Today’s topic is about villains!

Recently I’ve noticed a formula in finales and villains. They have a half baked backstory which is supposed to make you feel bad for them. They continue on about how friendship is terrible. Problem is, SOME OF THE VILLAINS COULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING. Take the newest villain, the pony of shadows. He was an insanely goofy villain, but we were expected to take him seriously. Problem is, Hasbro did a goody villain who wasn’t to be taken seriously. He was literally a joker. Discord. Again and again Hasbro proves how good they could be with some episodes. And I’m proud of them for getting a new writer on the staff team. But seriously. And according to leaks, in season eight, reformed. Fricking . Chryssilys. Are you kidding me?! You had the perfect chance for a repeating antagonist! From reviews, Oh, and the movie. Don’t get me started. Tempest could’ve been great. Then there was the song about being alone being better. And her backstory of those two foals not liking her. Also, WHY DIDNT SHE ASK THE FUCKING PRINCESSES TO RESTORE HER HORN FOR HER INSTEAD OF THE STORM KING?

Eh. I seriously doubt that they'll ever look into fansites like this. If that were the case, some authors would be either offered jobs. How do you think they'd react if they saw your or my material? Additionally, I think Hasbro's running out of villain types. That's probably why the Storm King's plot was so identical to Tirek's. Then we've got the Pony of Shadows. Who's similar to Discord. Maybe this is a sign that the show's coming to an end?

I don't think so, Discord has no backstory in the cannon, nor Queen Chrissy. And I think since Sombra was a destroyed I don't think we're even suppose to think about it. Tirek was suppose to be hated. So, so far it's 50/50?

Yeah, I’d say so. The villains are pretty good someone f the time. Other times they’re shit haha. But discord was goofy and he was trying to be goofy. The pony of shadows was goofy but was supposed to be taken seriously.
