This Net Neutrality crap Is actully starting to scare me... · 8:46pm Nov 22nd, 2017
I don't like bringing political nonsense here but, this needs to be said. The Net needs to remain free, If they succeed, I can guarantee that this will be they're greatest mistake, I can see riots and possibly violence start to emerge If this happens, paying money just to access the net Is stupid, but hopefully like every year this happens, I can only hope that Net Neutrality remains, just thank about It this way, your Internet provider would be able to make you use Yahoo search instead of Google, they would make It so you have to pay money just to go to a website. No wonder why people hate Microtransaction.
And this brings me to another concern, what will happen to fandom websites? Maybe I'm thinking too hard about this...
If you want to see what America would be like if it ditched net neutrality, just look at Portugal
I really hope that it doesn't happen, but at this point I'm starting to think that the ONLY way to prevent this from ever happening and to get people to realize how dangerous this is, is for them to lose what they had before and realize the alternative is far worse.
The way i see it, this is highly unlikely, the governemnt is full of idiots but none of them are this dumb
Some things. You already pay to access the internet. Net Nuetrality is about not letting the cable companies dictate how you use it. Terms matter.
Fan sites are not in danger. They're too small and don't require enough bandwidth to be on anyone's radar.
The best thing you can do is call your congressmen and if he them to pass a law in favor of net neutrality. Congress>FCC

This. Call your Congresscritters and ask them to support a law implementing Net Neutrality. A specific statute is a much better solution to the issue than an arbitrary handing of authority to a regulatory agency. The agency that is repealing NN is the same one that implemented it two years ago, whereas actual legislation is rarely ever repealed.
Here's one thing we can do, courtesy of John Oliver on Last Week Tonight:
go to this link - which, he lovingly dubbed, gofccyourself.com, hit Express (it should be to the right on the page), fill out basic info, and then type the following into Brief Comment:
"I specifically support strong net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs."
Here's the actual video:

So how many votes are there In this? Is it just a few people voting? personally, I believe this vote should be given to the people instead of the government or whoever Is doing it.

This Is what has me scared we might lose, I don't know how many senators there are but I hope there's still enough that want to keep Net Neutrality.

Based news for you: You need 60 out of 100 senators to care about Net Neutrality. 51 senators just voted to give corporations a huge tax break. So it seems unlikely they're big on telling telecom giants they can't earn more money.
Good news; this will take time to sort out after Net Neutrality regs get repealed. By then a deal might get struck to avoid complete disaster.
