Rainbow Dash's head popped out of the cloud bank, her face scrunched up in annoyance. "I am not 'cute'!" she screamed, her nose crinkling up as her cheeks puffed out slightly. "I am awesome, which is way better than cute."
Gilda smirked at her. "If you're not cute, Dash, then how do you explain that?" With a sweep of her claw, Gilda pointed to the furrow that mocked Dash's earlier assurances that she had this trick down.
"What? A wreck?" Dash eyed Gilda as she swept off the last wisps of cloud still clinging to her legs.
Gilda shook her head. "Not the pot hole, Dash. You hoof prints."
Dash's face went pale. She pointedly avoided looking at the trials she had left all over the soft cumulous. "That's — I can't help— All ponies do that. It's how our hooves are–"
Gilda placed a claw on Dash's muzzle, silencing her. "Yeah, but yours are like, ten times more adorable than any other pony's."
And then they had sex.
So how about dem heart shaped pony hooves from the movie, eh?

It's easiest to see when that are sea ponies. I just took the first vector I found that somewhat demonstrated it.
Ponies are strategically designed to be maximally adorable in any and all situations.
How 'bout them double triangles? O.o
