i'm really hoping that perhaps this will end my years-long drought against writing. i was working on an oc tale on my own, but i got stuck so it's on hiatus for a while. the other night it finally occurred to me to write about my pony character, so let's hope this little muse that's singing in my ear sticks around for a while. i miss being creative, losing an rp place that had become dear to be was like a deep blow to my psyche. i had been inspired for the first time in years to role play again, and i put a lot of time and effort into my character as she developed and help advance plot lines. there was no warning when eelry was taken away, just notifications sent out after it was gone. months and months of work was suddenly wasted. my character's death, that was meant to be temporary, was suddenly permanent. i was left with the severed ties of the friends i had made, none of them keep in touch with me even though i see them log in every day.
i don't know what happened, i may have been part of the staff group chat but i was mostly kept out of the loop. skype calls happened without me, my input wasn't sought. in retrospect i don't know why i was added to it at all, they would talk all day while i was asleep, and when i woke up they were busy doing whatever it was they were doing. all i know is that eelry was gone, and then they wanted to make a harry potter experience place.
i did bug runs for them, making sure things worked properly and item givers were scripted right. i ran through over and over and sent my notes to them, wanting the sim to work flawlessly. a week before it was supposed to open something happened.
everyone left the group chat. i was the only one left. i left it too, because i didn't know if i should stay. when i went to the harry potter sim it was gone, so my hard work there was for nothing.
now, maybe i can write again as a little pony.
