whoops i'm alive

has it really been six months since i last wrote a blog entry? well uh.... oops.

anyways, i've been editing here and there for pen as usual, save for when i had a death in the family and delayed both twilight learned and brightly lit. adjusting to the new normal in life hasn't been easy, but i'm coming out on the other side. it also kind of sucks that i tend to just go "nope, no updates" but at the same time, i learned a few years ago trying to give myself deadlines just absolutely does not work. when i'd wanted to write the mirror for the horror contest i was sure that i could do it within a month, but then reality set in and i couldn't. iirc it took me about a year to do so because i just kept coming back and hacking away when i was able. tbh i haven't touched any of my stories that are waiting to be updated since.... i believe last spring. my one shot i'd vaguely mentioned hasn't been worked on much either, mostly because i reached out to a ghost writer to help me out. (said writer will be credited when it does someday get posted)

there's been teasing little thoughts for more song stories in the interim, but when i sit down to type all the inspiration just drains away. but sure, i can give pen a million miles a minute

i'm not down for the count, just.... lacking my writing muse. i miss her.
