In Two Days... · 3:38pm Oct 29th, 2017

Prepare for the scariest night of the year. You might notice the change in my username, TBF many have changed their names to reflect the big day, and rest assured I'll change it back after Tuesday.

I'm in a good mood to share some of the scariest things I have ever seen.

5. One of my dreams.

One dream I had several years ago involved myself running through a superstore, stop at a corner, look around. After looking the other way, a red anteater comes flying at me, wakes me right up. Random sure, but still...

4. Chaos' theme from Sonic Adventure

The character himself isn't scary (and in fact, he wasn't the only water-based being I've), but the music that plays whenever he shows up to take a Chaos Emerald shows that sound can change the mood, especially when you fight him on the Egg Carrier and he already has six emeralds.

3. The Troodon from TellTales Jurassic Park Games

Now, I haven't played the games, but I've seen enough out of them to add them to this list. And like any of the dinosaurs in the mythos, they've been fitted quite well. Like the Dilophosaurs, they also have venom, but here it's more like that of Komodo dragons. They bite you, wait until you faint, drag you to their dens, carve you open then lay their eggs inside of you... while you watch.

2. Samus-X and the later parts of Metroid Prime

Any Metroid fan both old and new would recognize the imminent dread when they hear the footsteps that is the X parasite. And worse, there is one situation where you can't sneak around it. As for Metroid Prime, don't get me started on the Phazon Mines and the Chozo Ghosts.

1. The Cave of Bad Dreams from Rayman 2

I can't blame Ubisoft for continuously porting the game; it's easily the best and the darkest of the Rayman series by a long shot. Already, you start off the game in the worst situation; the robot pirates have won, you lost your powers, and people are getting enslaved. But that's not the worst of it. After acquiring the first mask, in order to save Clark the Giant, you have to return to the Marshes of Awakening and seek out Jano, the Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams to find some life potion (If you try to earlier, he just shoes you off since by reading minds, he knows you don't know the name of the place he's guarding). When you do, he gives you the opportunity to race him to a treasure and gives you a headstart for he will kill you if he catches you.

Despite that, it's only the third act when

Your journey ends here!

It still haunts me to this day, but it's getting through these fears that make us winners. Pretty much, Butch easily tells it out

You can't live without fear, but getting through it shows what you're made of.
