Why Green and Black · 1:12am Oct 15th, 2017
Green because its one of my favorite colors, along with Red and Purple. I chose Green as the primary theme, however, partly because its more vibrant, and it feels like a more alien color. Possibly influenced by a Scooby Doo rerun.
Power is variably colored as white, red, yellow, or blue (Tron Lines), but rarely green besides green lantern where that's basically their thing. So, ignoring green lantern, green speaks to me as a corrupted power, but focused. It isn't the rage of the warm colors, and it isn't the frigid brightness of the blues and purples. It isn't tempered by the brown of new life.
It simply is there, a dull spark where there should be none.
Black started off as the default color when one draws with a pencil. It became a symbol of creation, and nonexistence. It speaks of possibilities, but never revealing. All it does is consume.
Power offered, but never received. Yet there is a spark buried inside. A dash of alien green, where there should be none, clawing out of the darkness.
I don't know the context behind this but DAMN if this post isn't hella deep

First of all, fav'ing that story is a bad idea, and you should feel bad. I gave up because I wasn't good enough, and instead I'm going to mash everything into a huge mess called Diary of the Dead. Well, as soon as I get to fixing it, anyways.
Second of all, look at my profile pic.
tldr, Its a brief introspection into why I like black with a spark of green in most of my protagonists.
