Yes, I skipped an episode. I don't want to talk about cutie marks. I said this before. The episode where they got their cutie marks should have been the last cutie mark crusader episode. I'm not saying that they should never use Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle ever again, but let them move on. But, no, make their cutie marks be about cutie marks. Character development.
Enough about that.
I really like Spike in this episode. He's Twilight's competent and beleagured assistant. I think it's terrible that he doesn't get to spend a vacation with his family, but it's a noble burden he chose to bear maturely, and Twilight cries because she doesn't see some stars with her family. Bitch, you didn't even take Spike to your birthday.
As for Twilight's honorary family member. Well, anyone who played Oblivion would know the feeling. By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!
I don't like what they did to Iron Will for this episode. They turned him into an exploitative salesman who dupes Twilight's imbecile parents for his own gain. Some people think he's a scammer because of Putting Your Hoof Down. He was an honorable salesman. He sold a product, he let you use the product without paying first. He even accepted nonpayment if satisfaction was not met. It wasn't his fault that Fluttershy was, and still is, a psychopath who can only be an extreme doormat or an extreme bitch with nothing in between. Here, he's basically the third Flim Flam brother. They really shafted him here.
