Why Synthesis hasn't had an update for two years, and a "new" story upcoming.

Hi, guys (assuming anyone will read this), it's been a while (assuming anyone is still around from last time).

I'm guessing you're wondering what's been going on with Synthesis. Well... the answer is a whole lot of nothing.

You see, from, well, years before I started writing up until this May, I've had a rather caustic home life that had been steadily been getting worse. This, combined with my natural slow pace, has left me with long periods of time where I had no drive at all to write.

These last few months have been recovery, and I finally got my drive to write back at the end of last month. Unfortunately, this month I'm staying in a hotel room apartment hunting, and my computer with all of my writing notes is sitting in my luggage. I should be able to unpack it by mid-October at the latest, and if I can't then I'm really screwed.

I don't have only bad news, though! I've been sporadically writing a second person (think MSPA/I-don't-want-to-use-a-sea-of-pronouns-for-the-viewpoint-character, not "you are awed by Sans's nonexistent penis") Chrysalis-centric setting crossover/light fusion/whatever story on 4chan, and am planning on reformatting it for Fimfiction since I have what I've written for it on Pastebin.

I'm not promising anything schedule-wise, but as soon as I reformat the first chapter and choose a permanent name for the story, I'll post it here.
