So, I'm still holding kinda stable around the black hole of my darker emotions. It's an hour to hour thing. Some points are good, and some points I'm desperately clutching at those who've offered their help. I think I can safely say that without the help of friends, family, and friends who have become family, I would no longer be among you.
But that help was and is here, and I...remain.
Mix-Up/Amalgamzaku has done the cover art for my story "Mail Troubles" and it was awesome. Last night he told me he was working on a gift to cheer me up and started asking me questions about my Second Life ponysona, whose image is now my avatar here. This morning, I woke feeling scared and terrified about my housing again. Hiding it as much as I could, so my wife couldn't see it. Though she probably did. Fired up Discord to reach out to some of those supports I mentioned above and there was a message from Mix-Up.
"It's ready, want a look?"
I sputtered. Mix-Up's stuff is good and I know from experience you can rarely rush quality. Stunned, I put him off for a bit saying I needed coffee. During that, the aforementioned wife, nowhere near as oblivious as I had assumed, engaged me in some enforced snuggle time. I got back to my computer some time later and Mix-Up showed me what he had managed to create in a measly ten hours, using my description and some screen shots as a reference.
That's Penny Dreadful. Writer, explorer, punster. I was wiping away tears of happiness on seeing this. Not only that someone was willing to make something for me, but that someone cared enough to create a work of art, just to cheer me up.
My situation won't be resolved until I know whether or not the housing for my family is secure or not. But until then, it's acts like this, of Kindness and Generosity, that will keep me grounded. For my part, I'll try to reciprocate with Honesty about how I'm doing, and Loyalty enough to stay with you all.
Thank you, Mix-up. The princesses would be proud.

Edit: I just noticed the pun you made, damn it.
Stay safe.
