Civil War of Harmony Update · 8:19pm Sep 1st, 2017

Three months without an update... It feels like it's been forever since I worked on this story... and since it's been so long, do I even remember it..?

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I'm going to be publishing Chapter 32 either tomorrow or next Saturday (9/9/17). Chapter 32 has been sitting "complete" for... Well, I don't know how long. Two-ish months? Maybe even three... But this brings us to the bad news.

My primary prereader who I get most of my feedback from when writing this story has disappeared. Please do not bother him or try to find him.

Because he's been busy and has since disappeared (temporarily, hopefully), I'm very behind, and he was quite instrumental in ensuring the quality of CWOH for the past 10-13 chapters. I shot a lot of ideas off of him and he gave me the substantial feedback I needed to make things work. If it wasn't for him, well, I'll be honest, CWOH would still be a mess and I might have given up on it months ago. As it is, he's one of the few reasons I've made it that far.

Well. What else?

Current projection of the total ending word count is around 250k, so I'm close, but I'm sticking to a monthly update schedule, so it's still going to be a few months before I can finish it. Possible delays include college, lack of motivation, unforeseen events, and difficulties from not having someone to shoot ideas off of.

I also have a suspicion I'm not as big of a fan of the dark genre as I thought or something along those lines, but, that said, I completely intend to finish this story, since I seem to have a fear about stories which don't get finished. Someone should come up with a name for this fear. Combine biblo (for book) and phobia, along with something for incompleteness.

I may have forgotten some details about my plans for this story, but I still know what I plan to do. Of course, how I get there is less certain.

TL;DR, I apologize for the three-month hiatus. Chapter 32 comes out either tomorrow or next Saturday, assuming I have time to make it happen. The story is "nearly" finished, but it may take a while to complete with my monthly update schedule. I still plan to complete this story. I still haven't gotten around to editing it like I should. I may need to reread the story, but I'm not motivated to that. I might not be as big of a fan of the dark genre as I thought, or maybe I am just getting burnt out on it. I've barely made any progress in Chapter 33, and I don't have a lot of ideas for it, but I do have some, so we'll have to see how things go.

it's alright take your time anyway why not just find a new pre-reader

Bibloincompletoph: the fear of reading an incomplete story or piece of text. (See what I did there, didn't finish writing "phobia" at the end:trollestia::twilightsheepish:)

I will probably have to (or at least may have to), but I'm an introvert and that is detrimental to social skills. On top of that, my pre-reader had a certain style of feedback and an ease of talking to that I am acquainted with, I guess.

I'm kind of disappointed by how long it's taking to write this story, to be honest... I'm not wanting to rush it and make it lower quality, but I want to get it done in a timely manner, but that's not really happening...
