I'm leaving. Forever.
So, I haven't been active on the site for some time. That's because it finally happened. I lost interest in writing about ponies. I didn't think the day would come, but it did and without much ceremony. I just stopped writing one day and never wanted to get back into it. I've still been writing, but on my own accord and with my own original work. I really like what I've been doing, and maybe one day I'll get to publish my own book series or twelve.
It's a shame that I never got to finish some of the stuff I worked on, but I just lack the motivation to finish it. And also, I don't have time anymore. Since the last time we spoke, I graduated high school. I'm an adult now. Oh yeah, my girlfriend broke up with me, but we're still friends. A shame that, but I like to think that it's better this way. I tell myself amongst the day dreams that she might take me back one day.
Now, instead of going to college, I will actually be putting that on hold for two years. You see, I'm a Mormon. And as a Mormon, I'll be going on a mission, which involves me going to a different part of the world and preaching the word of the Lord. And I know where I'm going. Houston, Texas. Go me. I'm supposed to leave my hometown on November 15th of this year. I'll be in Houston for two years until I return in 2019. And if my interest in writing fanfiction is dead now, it'll be hollow and rotted by the time I get back.
And since I'm going on a mission, I won't be allowed to be on the Internet, watch television, or do much of anything besides preaching the Gospel. I can email once a week, but that's about all the technology I'll have. Some of you might think that two years without technology is the worst thing ever, but I know I can get through it just fine.
But, that's about it. This is my last blog post ever. By the time I come back, who knows what kind of state this website will be in. Maybe I'll pop in when I get back, or maybe I won't. Who knows? Not me.
Well, I guess that's it then. This is the end of me. Hard to believe the day has finally come. Feels kind of bittersweet. Like I'm closing the longest chapter in my life.
*flips book closed and flips the table and walks out of the room*
I hope you have good luck on your mission, and bring the gospel to many over there. As well as just helping them in general. After this storm, even if it didn't affect Houston much, there will be a ton of service needed I imagine for some time. I know a few missionaries who are over in Texas right now, and these last few days they have been sandbagging and helping people to shelters and the like.
Pony wise, will be sad to see you go. I've enjoyed many of your stories, even if I haven't said anything, and will be sad not to see them end. If the site is still around in two years, I hope you will return and if anything at least say hello. Good luck with all you do and may God go with you and help you in your next two years of service!
