Welp. About half a week with my new phone so far, and I've got some good and bad news. But first, here's the usual. 
Random Fact: I find it more comfortable occasionally to just kinda sit in my office chair backwards, leaning on top of the back rest. It's an old chair, but it's still comfy enough to sleep in.
Thoughts & Opinions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alrighty, let's get on with what's on my mind.
Good:
- The Galaxy S5 performs amazingly compared to my old Galaxy Core Prime. Though, it's pretty obvious since one is a flagship and the other is an ultra-cheap budget phone.
- It's got a fingerprint sensor.
- The screen feels much better than the plastic-y feel of the Core Prime
- The screen has auto-brightness, so I don't fry my eyes when I check notifications at night. Or browse Fimfiction at night.
- USB OTG = portable story writing with USB keyboards. Most of my experience with Bluetooth keyboards tend to lean towards me giving up on trying to type anything on them. They don't have the clickyness that I like.
Bad:
- From what I can tell, Samsung seems to have a record of their phones not playing well with SD cards. Though, the S5 definitely isn't as glitchy as the Core Prime, I've occasionally found apps installed to the SD card to suddenly vanish, requiring me to reinstall them. At least I don't lose my saves.
- With better performance comes horrid battery life. The fastest I've seen the battery discharge so far is 1% per minute. Though, to be fair, this is a used phone, so the battery's probably degrading already.
- THE HEAT. Seriously, I've considered a few times to use the aluminum-foil-in-the-case method to create a somewhat-effective heatsink, if only just for the purpose of making sure my phone doesn't fry my pocket after using it.
- Moderate lag issues. Though, from what I've searched up, as well as what I've seen, I'm pretty sure that it's thermal throttling, not the CPU being overstressed.

I've always done well with LG tablets and phones, myself.
I've never tried any Samsung products. But they seem nice, despite the flaws.
I would prefer them to Apple products any day. :p

HTC's a pretty good brand too. It's just that they've kinda fallen out of style.
