Season 7 continues to be awesome · 8:43pm Aug 27th, 2017
Just watched "Campfire Tales" and i´m really glad that season 7 continues it's streak of amazing episodes.
I was actually kind of afraid that the episode would be rather uninteresting in the beginning.
And it almost was. Personally, while they were somewhat entertaining, i think that the tales told weren't really interesting enough to make this episode anything better than a "watch once and forget" kinda thing.
Thankfully, there were other things to make the episode stand out to me.
First of all, continuity, which is always nice.
I also think the characters were executed well. Now, none of them really did much, but none felt odd either. The exception was scootalo, who i really enjoyed watching. Seeing her all scared like that was pretty neat, because it contradicts Rainbow Dash who is the character she is striving to be. The best part about it was what it allowed to happen though.
Namely, the RD/scoots interaction, which was really heartwarming. I especially liked how Rainbow's feelings toward Scootalo were made apparent. She was caring and protective and overall the episode just really helped to support the pseudo-sister relationship they have.
The scene where Rainbow was draping her wing around Scootalo in particular was something i really enjoyed.
I personally really enjoyed the tales, to be honest.
