It's probably been done before on this site, but I recently had the idea to do a story about Starlight Glimmer and Diamond Tiara, specifically in regard to the whole sisterhood bond thing the mane six (sans Twilight and Pinkie Pie) have.
- Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo
- Rarity and Sweetie Belle
- Applejack and Apple Bloom
It feels like it would actually be a good pairing. Diamond Tiara's "gift" or whatever is basically being good at "managing" other characters, as shown by the episode when she is able to see everyone's faults as well as their strengths. Starlight is also that way, for some obvious reasons and some not (the obvious being that she controlled everyone in her little commie town lol). And that right there is some good sad/uplifting tear-jerker fuel if I ever saw some.
(And I'm sure you know how much I like that stuff)
I felt like sharing. I haven't written a lot yet, but I'm excited about it. I might try a little harder with this one and go for at least a few thousand works, maybe 5k+ or so. It's been awhile since I've had a good "original" idea like this for awhile that didn't just come from a recent episode.
As a side note, I'm on the lookout for that perfect piece of artwork that fits with the tone of my story (sad and uplifting). Let me know if you've got something that's really nice quality. I did a search myself but couldn't find much, so I might get creative and make my own with separate vectors again (I can't draw).
EDIT: Okay I guess I wrote a lot more than I thought I would lol. Already got a complete story...now just to edit it over the course of a few days as some more ideas come to me to fully flesh it out.
I've read Starlight and DT fics before, but none that take the sisterly approach

They're probably pretty similar. I'm tempted to read a few, but I also kind of want to go into it on my own without using anything I get from others' works.

I feel like it's something the show will do eventually, maybe. Something along those lines would probably work as an episode. Maybe even Trixie with Silver Spoon and Starlight with Diamond Tiara. They would get competitive about being the better mentor or something lol.
(That's not what I'm doing my story on though)
