New Story Updates! · 3:14pm Aug 21st, 2017
Welcome back, everypony! It's been a while since you guys last heard from me, but here I am. I feel very fortunate that I finally found the time to make this blog post, and though this hiatus was only half as long as the previous one, I still feel I should reward you generously for your patience. On that note, allow me to share with you the exciting events that have come about since I went "off the grid".
First and foremost, the next chapter is complete. I've spend most of the past three months developing it (as well as working my two jobs), and I am proud to say that it is now perfected and ready for release. I'm sure by this point you all are wondering, "So when are you going to release it?" Well, my friends, I will release it as soon as I finishing making the retroactive upgrade I mentioned in the previous blog post (of which leads us to my next point of discussion).
The second thing I want to talk about is the nature of the retroactive upgrade I want to give to my story. I mentioned in the previous blog post that I may have given Bladewing a new girlfriend a little too soon. As I see it, Rose needs a bit more of a savory introduction (between her and Jesse, she got the short end of the stick). While I won't change her personality in any way, shape, or form, I won't leave this discrepancy unchecked; however, to install this additional intro, I may have to add a whole new chapter in addition to making adjustments to existing ones. In any case, you may rest assured that these additional changes will neither take very long nor prove detrimental to the story as a whole... for they will be released along with the new chapter so the story will not lose its natural flow (which in all should take me no more than another week maximum from the date of this blog posting). Shout-out to you, R.A.P.M., for suggesting these additions. I am truly grateful that you took the time to give me very useful feedback on my story.
Also on my list of good news, I'm happy to say that Bladewing's adventurous turn in his life's story will begin within a few short chapters. Ah, but this sounds like a spoiler alert, doesn't it? Well, my friends, that's because it is. For those of you who are allergic to spoiler alerts, I suggest you either skip this next paragraph or stop reading this blog post right now. I will not be responsible for any anticlimactic numbness that results from knowing how many chapters are left before Bladewing's journey truly takes flight.
For those of you still here, you have been warned. Now let's continue. It is with great pleasure, everypony, that I announce that there are only two chapters left after this next one before Bladewing officially begins his adventures here in Equestria. The last of the two will be about Bladewing's knighting - I'm sure you guys anticipated that by now - but the second to last I will leave a mystery. There is much that Bladewing must encounter before he is knighted, but until that particular chapter is released, I'll keep the details to myself. Just know that his knighting is but part two of his rite of passage into the Council.
The last bit of news I will share with you guys is about the story as a whole. I mentioned before that after Bladewing is knighted, the story will take a whole other form. But what form do you suppose I'm talking about here? Well, it's certainly not going to be a conventional chapter-by-chapter sequence. I have MUCH better ideas in mind. I was thinking of something more along the lines of... phase-by-phase. The exact details I'll keep to myself, but the takeaway here is that the story will change in such a way that to a degree, you won't have to figure out for yourself where in Bladewing's lifetime you're at. You'll know what that change is when you see it.
So there you have it, everypony. This is a lot for most to process, but I feel you guys deserve it. Again, I'm glad that I finally found the time to make this blog post for you and address any possible questions and concerns you guys may have for me concerning my novel. But you all know what to do in case you still have some: just leave a comment about it on this blog post. I am still waiting for more readers to take this bit of advice seriously (I'm always more than happy to reply). With that said, I will leave you to continue my work. A story can't write itself, you know. Thank you for your time, and as always, stay tuned for more content!
