    Dakari-King Mykan MSTs and Reviews

Here, I shall list links to MSTs and reviews of Dakari-King Mykan's works. Expect this to be updated as I uncover them. If you know of some that aren't included in this list yet, feel free to post links in the comments. Note that the Project AFTER ones can be kinda glitchy due to being accessed through the Wayback Machine. For the ones that have more than one review/MST, such as MLU, they're

    Opinions needed for potential novel.

I have in mind an idea for a novel wherein, basically, two people, male and female, end up in a new world. I have in mind an idea for a novel wherein, basically, two people, male and female, end up in a new world. The female becomes afflicted with something that'll cause her to hate the male if she stays in his presence for extended periods of time, eventually even potentially driving her to homicidal rage. So they have to be kept apart until said affliction wears off. However, there's just one thing.

They're both children.

At this point in time, I am not planning for the affliction to progress that far. Yet I am concerned that stating that a child is in danger of becoming hateful enough to murder another child could render this what TVTropes would call an audience-alienating premise.

What do you think? Is this acceptable for a book intended for children? Would it help or hinder if I merely allude to the homicidal rage?

The idea sounds good. We have The Hunger Games, so this really isn't audience-alienating.

But The Hunger Games isn't for children.

Is it?

Furthermore, the Tributes are teenagers. These characters are definitely pre-teens.

I suggest having this plot put later into the story, at least a third of the way through. Develop their personalities and interactions as they go through this new world, before the girl is afflicted, and then slowly have it build up little by little until it becomes something neither of them can control. Then try and have them overcome the whole situation at the novel's climax.

At this point, I'm planning on having them get stuck on a cruiseship, making it a bit more difficult to avoid each other. The focus would be more on the different species than the location. Of course, I might wind up changing it.

I think it would be fine if you slowly built up to the homicidal rage.

That's what I intend to do. I just hope it's not too disturbing for any kids who read it.
