    Fallout Review

It's been a while since I've done some reviews, so I figure I'm gonna review something that I've been getting into a lot as of late; Fallout! I have finally become integrated into the fandom, and I am happy for it, I've been in love with this series more and more as I get involved with it. I've gotten Fallout 4 in honor of the show (which I intend to review at some point after I finish it) and I

    Check In

    Afternoon/evening folks!

Sorry I haven't been checking in as often as I should; rest assured I'm not dead, I'm still here, just been silent as of late. Still working on fics, but also constantly debating with myself on what to focus on next, wanted to make some new stuff that isn't just Shattered or Star Wars. Wanna bring more folks in, do somethin' new.

    Top Ten Films/Series Of 2023/Reflections

First off, Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Hard to believe another year has passed, hasn't it? *sighs* how time has flown by. A lot's happened this year; more stories, more creativity and entertainment has come, and I've learned more about myself, and I am very glad for that.

Cars 3 Review · 6:04pm Jul 15th, 2017

Just letting you know guys, I've now gone back to being sick again. Wonderful. Its not as severe as my sickness was before, but I am coughing a lot recently. Hopefully this isn't a permanent thing. :pinkiesick:

And now my dog has just gotten sick cause he threw up... five times. I hope it was just the grass that was causing it and nothing else, because I love him and I don't want him to die early...:fluttershysad:
Now onto the review.

Ah, Cars. One of my favorite movies from my childhood. When this came out in 2006, I honestly loved it. I love the characters, I loved the story, I love the setting, I love the landscapes... my god, I love the landscapes. :pinkiehappy: I love all of the landscapes and the town of Radiator Springs so much I honestly would move there. Yeah, I would. It looks like a very nice town. If it was made into a real town, but with humans instead of living automobiles, I think that would be a nice town to live in.

I like small towns, okay? I don't like being in a crowded city.

But I understand this isn't a popular film with a lot of people, which is fine, I understand. To have this film come right after The Incredibles seems a little bit of a letdown considering how great The Incredibles was. But regardless I loved this movie, and I enjoyed it when it came out.

Then Cars 2 came out... I have nothing to say. Just... just... just Cars 2.

And then Planes and Planes: Fire and Rescue came out and, well, we know how well those did.

So when Cars 3 came, I was a little reluctant to see it considering this franchise's track record. But then... the trailers came out. Things were looking dramatic, dark. The focus was back on Lightning McQueen once again. A new writing team took control of the film. And then I went to see this movie with my mom and my sister and...

This movie was...

AWESOME!!!

It is a million times better than Cars 2, Planes, and Planes: Fire and Rescue. It is an excellent kids film. Its not the best, but you know what? Its a good kids film! Why do I say that? Well lets dive in. This is, Cars 3.

Cars 3 centers back around to Lightning McQueen, thank god, as apparently he's getting a little old in his racing age. And not only that, there is a new line of race cars which are highly advanced with more modern engines and materials. And one of them is Jackson Storm, who wants McQueen out of the race. But when McQueen suffers a car crash during the race filled with some of the more modern racers, he has to find a way to get back in the race to beat Jackson Storm before he has be called out on retirement for good. So if he wins the race, he decides when he's done racing, if he loses, he has to retire immediately. So its a challenge to bring himself back onto the track to win the race.

First thing I must say about this movie is, my god, the animation is gorgeous! The animation quality has stepped up for Pixar from the first movie. It’s been 11 years, tops from the first Cars, and in comparison with the first film, the animation here is beautiful! The tracks look like real road, the roads look like real road! The sand, the trees, the fences, the water, my god is it beautiful to look at... :raritystarry::pinkiesmile:

I've never seen something so SHINY... :raritywink:

Now the second thing I need to talk about is continuity from the first movie, I honestly love the fact that this movie has stronger continuity than the second one. And its a an amazing feeling when you see an awesome thing from the first movie return. We get to see the other two main racers from the first movie again even though they don't do much, but its still awesome to see them! And we even get a nice touch of listening to Paul Newman's voice, who alas is no longer with us, God bless his soul.

And as for continuity from the second movie... ugh. Luckily the only thing it remembers from the second movie was that Jeff Gordon existed in this world as a racer, but with the name of Jeff Gorvette.

Another excellent thing I must say is the characters. A lot of them are really interesting and very nice. But the one I like the most is Cruz Ramirez. She is a comic relief/main character done right. She's got a lot of good energy in her as a trainer, and she's a lot of fun. Plus when we get to her backstory, I like it, it is a very interesting backstory and it does make you feel for the character.

Third thing I must say is the story here is actually really interesting and pretty good. The new characters and story that come along with it also help it out a lot. McQueen doesn't want to give up his racing life but he has to deal with the reality that he's getting older and he can't keep up with the other racers. But Lightning doesn't want to retire early, he wants to decide when he finishes racing. However he has to deal with the fact that he needs to accept it, and I think this was a very nice lesson that was done here. I thought they were going to pull the cliche of 'you still got a lot of life left in you' if that makes any sense, but no, they actually handle the message that he's getting older very well, and I love it.

As for the story... I know its a bit cliche with that is going on here, but I think its okay. It was handled well, it was executed well, it hit all of the bullet points that it needed to hit.

And I'm sorry... this is all I got. I really have nothing else to say, this is just a really good movie. I highly recommend you go see it for yourself. I would say more, but also I don't have a lot of energy in me right now, and I've got work to do. I'm sorry for not having much to add, but this is all I have.

Overall, this is a great sequel. As a follow-up to a really bad sequel, this is a massive improvement. The animation is gorgeous, the acting is top-notch, the story is while cliche is still handled well, the humor is great, and it does deliver a great message pretty well.

I highly recommend you see this film, its worth your money and the time.

I give this film... an 8 out of 10.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and I appreciate you taking the time for reading it. Now lets see what else is on the table... oh yeah. If anyone has anything they can add for my blog regarding The Elements Awaken, whether it be some constructive criticism, pros and cons, I'd really appreciate it. Any support you can give me for it is highly appreciated.

Thank you, and have a great day.
