Stuck on "Stuck" · 5:31pm Jul 10th, 2017
Hey guys, NickyD here. So I'm just going to be straight forward with you for a minute.
As you know, "Stuck" has not been updated in a while and there are a couple reasons why.
1) Other projects. I get ideas for one shots ("She Struck a Chord With Me", "Skittles", etc) or YouTube projects and I literally can't work on anything else until those are done. It's a weird thing with me.
2) School. With the classes I took and are about to take, they take up a lot of my time, thus only having a minimum amount of time to write anything.
3) (MAIN REASON) Losing passion. So basically, as you know, "Stuck" is a self insert fic. There is a problem with it though. It's depicting 17 year old me when I am now 21. I started writing this back in May of 2014 when I was a junior in high school, fresh to the brony community. Now that I'm 21, I feel I'm kind of growing out of the story.
So where do we go from here? Do I continue it or not? And I'm not too sure if I can give an honest answer to that. Part of me wants to, but the other part wants to move on with other ideas. What sucks though is that I had a squeal planned out for Stuck, and that may not see the light of day. If I don't finish stuck, I can probably figure out something for the sequel's main concept.
So for now, I'll be putting "Stuck" on hiatus.
But, with that being said, why don't I tease you guys on future projects:
- Lyra on earth (multiple chapters) - the main character’s friend accidently runs over Lyra. The friend takes it home and his other roommates find him. The main character is a brony and know’s who Lyra is. How will she deal with three college roommates that are humans
- Assassin (one shot)- CHS seniors take part in the annual senior assassin game. The students who play have a target to “kill” while they are the target for someone else.
- Mommy again - Twilight’s mother, seeing that her kids are all grown up, misses motherhood and wants to have another child. However, she is past menopause and can not have another one. One day, Twilight’s parents find an abandoned human child and raise it as their own.
- DJ Khaled in equestria (one shot) (‘nuff said)
- Scott sterling vs rainbow dash, soccer (inspired by CaioCola from a discord convo)
- Pinkie Flash friendshipping (in the works)
Good stuff, eh? And I'm also working on another quick one shot that is not listed above. That should be out relatively soon. It'll be a cute little story.
