Trusting a BLU Spy · 2:05am Jul 6th, 2017
A comment on "Not a Crazed Gunman..." a little bit back caught my attention.
"*face palm* why did sniper trust someone from the other team?!?!" - Glitchsans
That's a good question, and I'll explain it to you. The explanation is quite simple.
And it's that there is none.
Sorry to break it to you, folks, but I can't worm my way out of this one. Everything else in the story was watched carefully for consistency, making sure that the plot would move forward in a reasonable manner without relying on very specific choices to drive it forward. However, I slipped up here. I built the story around a set of events that all stemmed from that one choice without creating a way out for myself. Sort of boxed me in on that one.
Sniper probably shouldn't have made that choice. He should've killed the Spy. He didn't though.
Not much else to say.
Hopefully, I can be forgiven for my grievous dishonor to writing... Nah, just kidding. Everyone makes mistakes. I'll live up to it. No reason to be a melodramatic Twili- I mean... p-person.
After all, it's one of my first stories. I don't expect perfection.
New chapter coming soon...
I will not stand for using the excuse of this being one of your first forays into writing as a means of hand-waving your mistakes, but I greatly respect an author who knows their shortcomings and aims to mitigate them.
Most importantly of all, that you point out that you yourself don't expect perfection shows that you are writing this because you wish to. Don't pander. Don't apologize. Focus on writing an entertaining story that you would like to read. Best of luck!
