me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Would anyone be open to this idea? · 9:18pm Jun 26th, 2017

Okay, recently I stumbled across a story where Spike and Thorax were paired up as a romantic couple and it did give some inspiration, and actually makes me want to write a story like that for myself. Firstly, it's because I have used neither of these characters in a major role before and I like trying to use new characters I've never written before. Secondly, I can see how this might work. However, I do know for some odd double standard, while lesbian pairings get a lot of upvotes on this site and not many downvotes (Partially because Girl-On-Girl is very hot in many people's minds, and my own I confess with no small ounce of embarrassment. Shame on me, I know.) gay pairings on the other hoof can get quite a few downvotes. This does have me a bit worried and is a potential turn off. So, just asking, but would any of you care if I write a story like this? Your advice and opinions would be appreciated.

Brick, you should write stories because you want to, to tell a story for its own sake. What people think about it shouldn't matter to you.

If you can think of this story and figure out a way to make this work, to tell a story of two characters falling in love, then please, by all means, write it! There will be people who will read it and enjoy it, but what matters is that you write it, and enjoy writing it.

I agree with PJ, but I'd also love to see the two of them shipped. So give it a test drive (write a prompt drabble or two) see if you can write the characters and then go for it!

There a plenty of really good gay stories on this site, I don't see how yours would be any different.

I have no aversion to this pairing, or any pairing for that matter though as Ponyjosh13 stated, write what you want and don't worry what others think of it.
