    132 Unread Chapters

No thanks. No motivation for that anymore.

    Hi. I still exist.

Don't really go on here any more. It's a shame but the MLP fandom has lost its touch for me.
I still like the show (although I have yet to finish Season 5) but you know.

Anyone who watches me still active? Well, I know one of you is, but no idea about the rest.

Hi predator, if you see this.

    Hello! I still exist!

So...as you may have noticed, I haven't been around much. School is very time-consuming, and Pony isn't my main fandom anymore, so there's that. I have 136 unread story chapters as of right now. My profile picture is still the same. My password is still the same (not that I ever revealed it). My email address is still unverified because the staff still haven't added me back to the mailing list.

New Cutie Mark for Thoughtful Mind!

I've been meaning to update that little thing for a while now, and I've finally sat down for an hour and produced something new.

Don't know why I didn't think of a book before. Comments, thoughts, opinions are much anticipated!

    It's been a year…

Well. It's certainly been an awful long time since I last posted one of these. It's funny, how I always had something to talk about every few days…

The reason I post this today is because today is when I guess (I'm unsure of the exact date, unfortunately) I first watched MLP. I can't believe an entire year has passed by since that fateful day.

    Well.

Imagine my surprise when I came home at ~11.30pm after what was essentially a completely chock-full day, only to discover that the earlier-seen 502s would lead up to this. It somewhat annoys me that there is currently no visible way of reaching the desktop site when using my iPod(s), because the mobile site now loads by default on them. While [the mobile site] has been improved beyond measure,

My story as a brony · 8:18pm Oct 7th, 2012

After that failure of a blog post (1 comment [my own]), I thought I should post one which had at least some interesting content. Here is my not-particularly-amazing story of how I became a brony.

You probably don't know this, but I am a big fan of Vsauce. For anyone who doesn't know, Vsauce is a YouTube channel run mainly by a guy called Michael Stevens. He posts educucational science-y videos as well as various shows about other peoples creations, the best images of the week and more.

Anyhow, I've been a Vsaucer (as the fans are called) for around a year now. Vsauce has a Facebook page where ordinary people can post images and whatnot for everyone to see. As it turned out, a few months ago it was raided by quite a few pony pictures. Seeing these photos was what sparked my curiosity. From reading the comments, I realised that these pictures were from a TV show called 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'. Soon, I was introduced to the word 'brony'. I never took much of an interest in it, but as the flow of pony pics increased and I began to spot them on other websites, I knew that something had to be up with this. I watched the a Know Your Meme video on MLP; after a bit of thinking, I decided to find out what this was all about.

One day sometime around May 2012, I typed in one thing into my iPad.

"My Little Pony Theme

Unfortunately, it happened to be the G1 theme. After about 30 seconds, I quit the video and went about my daily business.

A few weeks later, for some reason, I tried again. This time, I only typed in 'My Little Pony'. My intention was to load up the first actual episode I spotted. Scanning the screen, I noticed one called 'Read it and Weep'. Since I could recall only one character's name at the time (Pinkie Pie), I didn't really know what to make of it. The storyline didn't seem to be too bad, but my masculine instincts told me exactly what I was doing (watching a show called My Little Pony). At around 8 minutes, I turned it off and once again went about my daily business.

Then, I got this urge to see what it was about for real. I can't remember the exact date, but it must have been near the 20th July 2012. I typed in 'My Little Pony Season 1 Episode 1'. It began.

"The night shall last FOREVER! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

The credits rolled on. I was, simply put, interested. I quickly found episode 2 in the related videos list and played it.

With that over, I watched episode 3.

I can't remember what happened next. I probably watched episode 4, but who cares? I was already hooked on a show within the space of two hours.

Over the next few days, I continued watching more and more episodes. Once I finished season 1, I felt it necessary to check out what the fandom had to offer. I had manys a time seen something called 'My Little Dashie' mentioned around the Internet. Feeling curious once again, I googled it. So began my intense love for fanfiction. Not much more than a month later, I created this account. Now, it is rapidly expanding, as well as my somehow massive knowledge of the show and its fandom.

In case anyone asks the following question:

"Have you had any embarrassing moments as a brony?"

Only one. I was recalling the characters to my brother when au was only a few episodes in, when I mistakenly said 'Applejunk'. He somehow corrected me. :rainbowhuh:

I hope that was an amazingly enticing story. Leave your thoughts in the comments. As an added bonus, how did you become a brony?

That seems like a typical story of someone getting into this show, Thoughtful! I myself do not consider myself a 'brony', and in fact, dislike the term. I'm just a fan of it, same as I am a fan of so many other things.

Oh. :applecry:

Well, maybe I just posted it out there so I don't have to dot again when I possibly become famous within the fandom? :trixieshiftright: Optimism levels maximum.

Anyway, my opinion on the term 'brony':

It seems to be widely accepted by most of the fans, so I personally just go with the flow, but when I think of the matter properly, I guess the initial word 'bro' doesn't really suit me… at all. Maybe I should rethink my way of addressing myself?

409477 I didn't mean 'typical' in a bad way! Just making an observation...

And call yourself what you want. Anything you call yourself is fine, after all.

DID I TELL YOU MY BRONY STORY ALREADY? I tell you this, I read Cupcakes (It was funny.) first on a one week laze in my bed, then I kept getting other stories read on Youtube, so I didn't hear about My Little Dashie, but when I did, I swore that I would never read it.
