Spent the last three months working on a digimon fic and now I don't like anything I typed for it!
Well that's okay because I've got quite a few other ideas I can try to take to approach it, but thought I'd take a second to post another MLP fic idea I'd had in the meantime. Granted it'd be something of a crack-fic/parody (heavily inspired by this image and its comments) but still.
So everyone knows Spike, of course. The cute, harmless little baby dragon and assistant to hero and personal student of Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle. But what if that's just on the surface? What if Celestia, knowing that there'd be tons of horrors that Twilight isn't ready to face waiting out in the world for her, decided her protege needed a bodyguard? Of course she couldn't just tell the young filly that and scare her...
Enter Spike. While Twilight and her friends are off learning about friendship, he's taking care of the monsters and dangers she's not capable of dealing with. Cuz he may just be a baby dragon but, as the monsters find out, he's still a bucking DRAGON.
Heh, just a funny little idea I'd thought I'd share since I hadn't type anything here in so long. Granted it works best as a pre-Season Three sort of deal.
Heh, you know, I've toyed with a similar idea myself, but wasn't ever attached to it enough to actually enact upon it. I'm actually rather interested in seeing your take of it in full if that ever happens.
