Life Update + Zelda + Story Idea Feedback Needed · 2:48am Jun 22nd, 2017
Hi, all. So, my job hunt has been proceeding about as well as I expected, IE: poorly. Many applications have been sent and leads pursued, but to no avail. Meanwhile, I finished Fire Emblem Echoes, which was amazing, by the way. Mila's Turnwheel is the best. The ability to rewind just a turn or two made classic mode much less tedious without sacrificing the actual difficulty. Now, I've been playing through Breath of the Wild, finally. I'll spare you most of the details, but I will talk about how horses work in the game, because this is an MLP site and horses are kinda popular around here.
In order to get a horse in BotW, you first need to catch one in the wild. This is as simple as sneaking up from behind and mounting the steed, then mashing the L button until it stops trying to buck you off. Different horses will be harder to control than others, with the wild ones generally having higher stats. Recently, I managed to tame the incredibly ornery Giant Horse, a unique beast that's like 50% bigger than every other horse in Hyrule and can gallop endlessly without tiring. It is grey, with an orange mane and tail, and boasts the highest possible HP.
I named him Tirek. It seemed fitting, and Troubleshoes was over the nine character naming limit. Then, of course, that got me thinking: what if this thing actually did have Tirek's mind in it? Like, the Rainbow Power banished his soul to Hyrule, or something, and it ended up inside an above-average sized non-magic horse. If I wrote a comedic adventure story about my playthrough from this Tirek's perspective, would that be something you guys would be interested in reading? Because I already have like eight other stories in the pipeline, including Flying Purple Hippo, and doing this one would require I take notes as I play. Please let me know in the comments what you think.
It sounds fun, but it may need to end up on the back burner.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Into the reject pile it goes, I guess.
