Semi spoliers for the Equestria Girls specials. Viewer Discretion is advised.
The specials themselves were fun to watch, but as a comm major, it half sucked for me.
The first special was basic formula of one team steals the competitive team's idea, but they end up working together in the end. Easily spotted it.
The second special was classic Scooby Doo. There's even a dog for crying out loud. I called the villain as soon as they showed the volcano crashing. It was legitimately not that hard. They even had a ton of Scoobs nods.
The third special honestly does not make you feel very sympathetic towards its villain... at all. It's like when the bronies supposedly hated the fuck out of Sunset Shimmer because of poor character design, but ya know what? I never hated Sunset Shimmer. This villain? This villain can go to hell. And they changed the color of Sunset's magic and I'm PISSED ABOUT IT!
All that aside, I realize that this stuff is mostly marketed toward kids, and they're fairly short. So, I could forgive all of that just to enjoy them, because they were still pretty awesome anyway. And all the different times Sunset looked ready to kill someone or looked like she was reflecting on her poor life choices or just... fuck it, Sunset in general, honestly.
MORE MINOR SPOILERS AHOY - because of pet peeves and gushes
One thing I won't get over is how little the Humane Five (yes, just Rainbow, Pinks, Rares, Shy and AJ) have learned about rubbing past wrongs in the faces of those they 'defeat'. Eventually, one of the villains or former villains they do that to is going to kill them for it... and I cannot honestly say I won't laugh when it happens. ADDENDUM: One almost did and the only reason I didn't laugh was because Sci-Twi and Sunset were with them.And Sunset looks hella hot with green hair...And I never knew I needed ponies walking on two legs until the third special arrived!
And if you motherfuckers thought Sunset's smile in Rainbow Rocks at the slumber party was cute, you bitches ain't SEEN Sunset smile cute yet!

And she doesn't canonically seem to have the emotional imbalance Anakin was going through that led to his downfall with Obi-Wan, so she's likely to go through the full teaching by acting fine and then turning on the Jedi once she's reached the fullest of her potential with them or when she feels they have nothing left to give her. (My Star Wars is rusty, I apologize.)

I think she has the potential to be, but it would take a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if Sonata and Aria were the only ones even able to redeem her.

That I can say a definite yes to, simply because she would see something to gain by joining the Sith side of things. It would be difficult fighting her way to the top of the Empire, but Darth would be a useful stepping stone in achieving freaking control of the entire universe. And I doubt she'd dispose of him, either, considering how powerful he is, so she's likely to keep tabs on him whenever she's not with him.

That depends greatly on how you headcanon Adagio. Her character interpretation was left so open by canon, that she could literally do anything from flat out not caring to going 'Taken' on whomever took the other two Sirens to just bringing about the apocalypse as vengeance for someone daring to touch what's hers.
