Thinking Cap: Cause and Effect · 4:22am Jun 5th, 2017
Okay, but I'm watching this video by Lily Peet when he gets to about 21:32 and I'm thinking, "How awesome would it be if the Sirens actually were responsible for all the bad shit that happened in Equestrian history?"
Like, Sombra turning on Princess Amore (cute name, babe). He heard Aria passing through the area at one point and was affected by the song, causing him to become angry and distrustful. Sonata is singing just for the joy of watching ponies fight one day and somehow, all of the chaos inadvertently brings Discord into existence. Adagio wants to have a little fun and goes right for the princesses, whispering hateful thoughts and demeaning mockery to Luna, inciting the resentment and sorrow that ultimately brings about Nightmare Moon. I haven't seen the Tirek episode yet, I don't wanna spoil it for myself. Maybe they were doing their nightly feeding in a large village and the Windigos got hungry sensing the hatred?
I just find it funny, almost everything terrible being the fault of these three creatures having fun and trying to eat. And the only solution is to literally banish them into another dimension.
That sounds awesome, Im definitely gonna have to watch those videos.
4558490 I really enjoy how thorough he is in the videos I've watched. There's even a six minute Addendum video about Starlight Glimmer. I haven't seen too many of them, but I just thought this idea was really funny.
4558491 Speaking of Gilm-glam, I would have loved to see evil Glimmer vs the Dazzlings. They have the exact same MO, with the exact opposite goals.
I wanna see "Why don't we see who is better?" Vs "Winning only breeds the worst ego-filled concete."
Like, Lets Have a Battle and Our Town are perfect opposites.
4558498 That actually would be pretty awesome to see. Adagio and Starlight defending their philosophies to one another. Unfortunately, because Adagio did it for power and Starlight did it from envy, I feel like Starlight would devolve into anger too quickly and Adagio would just keep taunting her for her weakness or something like that.

True, though Starlight would have the advantage of conviction, vs Adagio’s doing things because she can. Also, whole Adagio is stuck with her sisters(?), Starlight is able to get others to her worldview, at least to an extent.
4561133 True enough. Both have the charisma to get others to see things their way. Adagio’s got the unfair advantage of hypnosis magic, though...

Only if they’re in the human world. Glimglam is no slouch with mind control herself, haha.
.... man this really makes me wish we had an English dub of Mirror Magic already!
4561163 I need Magic Mirror to hurry up and get here!
Though, yeah. Starlight wouldn’t quite know how magic worked in the Human World, so it would take her a little while, whereas Adagio’s method of mind control never changed.

Too true!
Glimmer just needs to steal Sunset’s necklace! How’s that for karmic justice?
4561173 Aw, can you imagine Starlight stealing the necklace after learning what it does and then a random person accidentally bumps into her and she just sees some kinda mind-bendingly embarrassing thing and she’s just like... “Nope.”
Finally got around to watching that video. Was pretty good, though I’m probably biased toward Adagio anyway.
I should not have watched his Starlight Glimmer episode though...

Yeah, I was also biased toward Adagio, but thankfully, I could see it from his point too, especially when he got to Sunset and Chrysalis. Poor Luna apparently fails at being a villain.
