Okay, before I say anything, I'm gonna give some background. So I'm a practicing chaos wizard (It's a certain kind of mindset, not a different kind of magick), and have done many successful evocations of different spirits and entities. I have a friend who has evoked things from H.P. Lovecraft's mythos, even though the entities that Lovecraft wrote about are considered fictional, as well as another friend who evoked Slaanesh from WH40K. I personally feel like the idea that all works of fiction are really an artist's glimpse into another reality is a potentially viable theory based on what I know of people evoking 'fictional' entities.
So anyways, the idea is that, since we have established that fiction is potentially just a window into an alternate reality, and that we can evoke entities from these potential alternate realities, what is stopping me from evoking Discord and making a deal with him? I mean, I would have to create a ritual for it, something involving candles laid out in a chaos-star pattern, and maybe a glass of chocolate milk and some cotton candy somewhere in the ritual, but creating rituals isn't difficult. The main issue is that I'm not sure if he would be able to access his power in our world, and I don't know how magick would behave across realities. Assuming I don't just end up evoking an egregore that is based on the 'brony' idea of what Discord is.
I don't do many evocations anymore to be honest, instead I've been focusing on more practical stuff, like manipulating how much friction effects a cutting tool, keeping myself cool when it is hot outside, and maintaining a precise 360-degree sphere of awareness of my surroundings. I've also kinda fallen into the 'thinks more about potential workings of magick than actually doing magick' rut that many occultists with too little time get stuck in.
Regardless, is there any brony-occultists out there who have done evocations of show characters that can share their experiences?
