Wondering why my profile pic has my OC in a stable-suit from Fallout? I made this account intending to do my own Fallout/MLP crossover, but decided to use it for other non-extreme stories, like Polyamory. I'll toss out my FE idea.
I was inspired by this comic (bloody). I was going to start in that 'Cutie Re-mark' scene and have Starlight get snipered and the spell ruined, stranding Twilight. She rushes to Canterlot, hoping to get the Starswirl spell from this timeline, but a megaspell hits Canterlot right as it's casting and she's tossed 200 years into the future.
I have permission from Kkat, amazing author of the original Fallout Equestria, to use those characters (so long as I don't say it's canon). My first idea was a timeline where Littlepip teams up with Twilight. In this timeline, the war happened when all the villains that would have been defeated destroyed Equestria while fighting over it.
However, I started to lean more towards using OCs, I don't feel that I'm rehashing Kkat's excellent work. Crimson Prose, my OC, would be involved, with some similar plotlines to Fallout 4 involving cryo-stasis and secret organizations (synths = changelings, if you've played Fallout). Some OCs were donated to the plot, and I'm leaning toward the primary character being Mercury Shine, though it's subject to change. I want to develop an outline before I write, so I don't write myself into a corner.
The rating would be similar to Fallout Equestria, violent with implied or non-explicit sex. I might have alternate sexually explicit versions of some chapters as FE does.
Anyway, tell me what you guys think if you want. Potential cover art:
Midnight Sparkle art by light262, used with permission. I've always wanted to see Twilight get into a fight with Midnight, and an alt-timeline gives the perfect way to do it, methinks. The upper right image comes from here, but the artist is unknown.
Had the idea that changelings no longer having to feed on ponies wasn't necessarily a good thing. They could instead decide to genocide the creatures that no longer serve a purpose.
It'd be nice to see you do a long serious story for once..
would like to see a FE fic that doesn't attempt to rehash or spin-off the original. Not sure how well it will fare in the ocean of existing FE material though!

The world of Fallout Ashlands won’t be far off from some of Headless Rainbow’s work, but neither was the world of the original Fallout Equestria. It’s just less explicit and more implied or happening in the background.

I’ll probably be posting some alternate chapters yes. Ones that are only sexually explicit will go here, Anything with extreme stuff will be posted on Headless. Still not sure how much I’ll be doing that, but that’s what it would be. I’ll probably base it on the things that people like enough to comment on in the main story.
