overdosed on manga

A week where I don't have anything significant to say about anime, but was on vacation and read a bunch of manga so this would really be too much to report later this month, so I guess I'll do an abbreviated post.
Late this month, I'll do a long overdue manga shitpost, and then I think maybe I'll be back to full-up, with pictures and stuff to go along with the new season.

Shows I might try next season
Dress Up Darling season 2 is coming. There’s also the Chainsaw Man movie and the latest Demon Slayer movie.

Halfway season

I’m beginning to suspect I didn’t actually get out of anime at all. I just cut my posting schedule to about ¼ what it used to be and cut my content per blog to about ½ what it used to be. Good, this is healthy.
Now that we’re halfway through the season, this is a good time for an update anyway.

Don’t call it a comeback

I watched seven episodes of anime for this new season which is the most I’ve seen in a single week since…I dunno, October maybe, probably longer. Still, as you can tell, this blog isn’t up to my usual standards, so I wouldn’t consider myself back to doing anime blogs just yet.

Anime of the Year

I watched at least one episode of 38 shows this year (though three were continuations from previous years), down from 48 shows in 2023.
That’s kind of a big drop, and accelerated as the year went on. I’m not sure if anime is getting worse, I’ve reached a critical point of having read so many manga that I already know just about every new anime that premieres, or if I’m getting burned out.
