You know how in trilogies, the third one is usually the weakest? This is kinda on the middle ground between great and lame. While we do get to see Pony Sunset again, we get to see more of Human Starlight unfortunately (and now it's confirmed that the color of Sunset's magic is red; I'm gonna keep my headcanon sea-green in color until I find a reason to work it in).
Taking off from "Movie Magic" we see Juniper Montage's revenge plot unfold with the enchanted mirror that not only traps people and objects, but turns her into the image in the mirror:
Juniper Monstar!
That's right, I made a Space Jam reference. But given her motives, that's a more fitting name I can come up with. There isn't any death rainbows this time, just simple coaxing thanks to Starlight. So she's forgiven, Sunset has a new journal, and things go back to normal.
At least until the shorts pick up as a Netflix series, if possible.
My biggest gripe is that we didn't see a touching reunion between Celestia and Sunset; maybe it already happened, maybe a little later, but from a company who wants to sell toys, a story as deep as this might not come to be.
I might take a look at the official English releases, but for "Dance Magic" I will be at my familie's semi-annual chicken wing contest; besides, with these early releases, the damage is already done.

The way the shorts all resolved themselves and especially with how the last one ended and began? Yeah they are gonna make this a netflix series or put it on Discovery Family in place of something else because these felt too much like legit episodes than just random shorts...there is a legit over arching story in these shorts if it wasn't obvious. Like that magic light that infects the mirror? Totally one of the lights from the end of legend of everfree and it makes sense that it would react to the girls magic since they have the only other source of Equestrian magic in the human world
