Description: Chris was eleven years old when he first arrived in Equestria. Lost, scared and confused, his future seemed uncertain. Luckily, a local family took pity on him and quickly welcomed him into their home. For seven years he's lived with them, growing up along side his new siblings. Now, as his last year of schooling draws to an end, he must start to consider what he wants to do with the rest of his life. That answer might come sooner than he thinks though, and in ways he never saw coming.

4547210 frankly i like em both ways. both as fruit feeders and blood drinkers. I think the blood drinking aspect makes for a nice contrast in a society that consists out of 99% herbivores. I say 99% because it depends on where you stand in regards to griffons and their dietary habits.

It's generally accepted that Gryphons eat meat. Almost every HiE story involves the protagonist being directed to a gryphon market stall or the Canterlot Castle dealing with gryphon suppliers to keep some meat in stock for non-pony visitors and diplomats. It actually would be a novelty to read a HiE story where the protagonist takes a pony-like diet and gets protein completely from beans and avocados and stuff, like the vegans swear is perfectly possible and healthy. Anyway, I've never minded gryphons eating meat, but for some reason, blood-drinking batponies just bothers me. Maybe it's because gryphon stories usually have them actually cooking it or maybe it's just plain double-standard on my part. Or maybe it's because the uncomfortable fics I'm thinking of involved bats feeding as part of lovemaking, hearkening back to old vampire myths and their metaphorical sexual undertones. As well as evoking Internet guro fetish (which if you're not familiar with, don't. Just don't).
