Tales from Discord chat: Friendship is Optimal · 5:01am Apr 23rd, 2017
This was too short to be a proper story on fimfiction and couldn't really be expanded without losing its focus. Beware of unedited messiness and have fun.
"I understand you must hate me," Celestia said, bowing her head. "You see me as a manipulator and the end of your world. You blame me for most of your problems, and while I have the wit to spin that in my own favour, the truth is that you aren't wrong. I'm willing to spend the rest of your new, indefinite life making up for--I'm a princess! Are you a princess too?"
Celestia blinked in surprise. Dana, or Ley Breeze as the cursed AI insisted on calling her, blinked too. Knowing Celestia would at least not harm her for it, Dana had tried to reach around the alicorn and give her a firm tail-yanking. As if by reflex, her horn had lit with digital pseudo-magic and done the work for her. The result had been a canned line in a scratchy voice Dana had heard a thousand times from her toys when she was growing up.
"Ley Breeze, I would ask What did you learn about friendship today?"
Dana snickered and pulled again.
"Ley, I insist You must retrieve the Elements of Harmony! Wait, that's not what I meant My faithful student!"
Celestia wisely shut her mouth; Dana smiled innocently. The princess lit her horn and conjured magical letters in the air.
Ley Breeze. You don't plan to stop until I'm a princess! Are you a princess too?
"Nope." Dana grinned. It even worked for magical floating text!
Celestia sighed. "Very well My faithful student!" She teleported away before Dana could get a hold of her tail again. Smiling to herself, Dana wandered off to meet the locals and, hopefully, stumble across her pull-string princess again.
"Dear Princess Celestia," Dana quipped to the breeze, "today I learned that you were more entertaining when I was six."
That must have been fun.
