The Season 7 Premiere (And My Thoughts) · 9:50pm Apr 15th, 2017
Definitely a better premiere than last seasons, I can safely say that Season 7 will focus more on Starlight Glimmer, something that Season 6 failed to touch upon. As episode 1 went on, something reached inside of me; in fact, this is pretty much the story of how I came to be today.
Let me explain:
As my high school career (Friendship Lessons) came to a close, so is the time for me to find a place to go to (The Changeling Hive/Dragon Lands). My first decision was that of Colorado (At the time, none of my immediate family has ever gone to an out of state school, so why not). That was big jump for my parents because of said reason and they were worried that I might not succeed there. So it was decided for me to attend a community college, get my GE courses out of the way before going to Missouri Western.
With my sister going to Rhode Island, take an internship to Paris, then work each summer near a ranch in Colorado, it lifted my parents hopes up for the rest of us. And so when I found and acquired the apartment I live now, it was a big moment for them.
"You have grown so much from the boy who went to Colorado... I'm proud of you."
Those words, from my father, is what the ending of the episode reminded me of. Indeed, I am no longer a boy chained to his family home. I am a man with my own house, and I'd love to see what the future holds for me.
Episode 2, while not as impactful as 1, is still fun to watch. It's a rehash of "Feeling Pinkie Keen" but still relatable. I have some coworkers of mine who feel annoying as hell, but there is a way to deal with that.
Aside from some details I've made, none of these affect the Jongojiverse. In fact, I still have that little arc to write before it goes to "From Where and Back Again."
