Oh, great galloping goddesses, that animation looks amazing.
I mean, it looks a little off compared to the style of the show we all know and love, but I think that's to be expected with a big budget movie like this. 
Please don't suck, movie. Please, for the love of all things MLP; FiM: Don't. Suck.

This made me reflect to a video posted by Imaxination1980, or Kyle Ostrum. He, like me, has Autism, and, in the animation field, he's not far apart from the sort of people you'd find on PBS. In the video, he pointed out that he himself isn't interested in FIM itself while acknowledging the outreach its audience has gotten and feels that the film will flop because Hasbro's choice of distributor for the film is Lionsgate, whose track record with theatrically released animated films is, well, I'd be delivering a classic understatement if I were to say that Lionsgate's track record regarding animation hasn't been good.
4486394 It has been reported that the people writing the film are the exact same people who are writing the show.
