I, Monster: A quick summary of what comes · 9:45pm Apr 1st, 2017

Okay, people, I, Monster's first act is coming to its last stages of development and, in order to assure you we're not slacking on it, I've decided to publish the summary of the fic, plus some tentative chapter tittles. The fic will go on as it follows:

The first act will be about Trixie breaking out of the obsidian statue where the Elements left her. She does so by sheer willpower, which she's been accumulating over centuries. When Trixie breaks out, she does so, her body has changed once again. This time, her fur has been replaced by scales, and red marks, runes of evil, run down all of her body. Trixie has now fused with the Amulet as some kind of drake-pony hybrid. As she finds more things out, she discovers that Ponyville is no more. What used to be one of Equestria's nicest towns is now a mess of ruins and wreckage at the shadow of the bright Ponycity. As first, she decides to just leave "Trashville", but a gang of looters attack the homeless ponies living there, so Trixie fights them off. The act ends with Trixie protecting the poor and outcasts.

The second act starts with a time-skip. Although the situation in trashville hasn't become better, the homeless living there do so now under protection under the Watcher of the Outcasts, a cuasi-mythological figure of the night. Ponycity's police has learn to leave them in peace because of this, venturing to the lower parts of the ruins only when it's absolutely necessary. That's why the attack of dozens of armed forces comes as a surprise. At first, Trixie fights them fairly well, but when they deploy the Redeemer, a knight invested with holy weapons, she's forced to hide. The Redeemer proves to be ruthless, and begins murdering innocents to draw Trixie out. They have a fight, which moves into Ponycity, where Trixie almost dies if not for the intervention of "Slam" Pie and "Twitch" Belle.

There's later explained that Slam and Twitch are actually Papyrus Pie, and Rarity Belle V. Both are descendants of Pinkie Pie and Rarity, respectively. In the centuries Trixie was enclosed, the original Elements of Harmony created the Order of the Light in order to help cases like Trixie's, while trying to find a cure for her as well. However, as time marched on, the Order decided to go proactive and attack anything with roots on dark magic, regardless of the situation, becoming more brutal with each decade. Slam and Twitch used to be just cops, but the mysterious "Countess" revealed them the story of their ancestors and send them to help Trixie.

The third act kicks in when the Order of the Light deploys a full-scale sweep through Trashville, pretty much destroying what little the homeless had. Since Trixie is still weak from her fight with the Redeemer, Slam and Twitch try to take her away from the city. But Trixie swore to protect the outcasts from Trashville, she teleports there and fight the order. They quickly capture Trixie in order to bisect her and use her nearly limitless dark magic supply as fuel. But Slam and Twitch free Trixie before the Order can leave and, the three together, bring the chapter of soldiers down until there's only the Redeemer on feet.

Out of pride, Trixie tells Slam and Twitch off to fight the Redeemer by herself. As first, the fight is sadly uneven. The Redeemer has years of militar training over Trixie, plus his holy weapons drain her of any dar magic she can use. But then, as Trixie feels more and more anger, she unlocks all the hidden powers she wasn't using. Enclosed in an infernal armor of her own, known as the Hellspawn, Trixie defeats the Redeemer, reducing him to ashes inside a smoking empty armor.

The epilogue starts with Slam and Twitch commenting on the last months happenings, talking about how Trixie has become a known "hero" for the society's outcasts. Trixie, now sitting on a throne made out of trash by the homeless of Trashville, has become some kind of queen for this sub-world. The last scene happens when a mysterious stranger in a hood approaches her. It's revealed she's the Countess who advised Slam and Twitch into helping Trixie. She talks about Trixie's destiny to either save the world from destruction, or bring the end of times herself. The last line of the story would be the Countess revealing herself to be Twilight Sparkle, now an alicorn, who has spent the last millennium researching dark magic in order to help Trixie.

Not gonna lie, as I was around the middle of writing this, it began to look like a good fusion fic with Spawn.

Give it a check anyways, it's not a bad story on itself, if I say so,

It is a joke and I didn't give the plot away.

Seriously, it's literally the first few issues of the original Spawn series. I'm not so drained as to plagiarize old good comics.

I'm going out on a limb here & predict a "Dark" tag :trixieshiftleft:

Well, the original "Actually, I'm Dead" was a dark story. I actually take pride on having dark elements there without turning it into an over-the-top parody, more commonly referred as a grimderp.

But in all seriousness, this was just an exercise in adaptation, using the original twenty-something issues of Spawn. The real story, while having various moments of homages and references, will have a different narrative.
